The STS 2014 Woodland Figure of the year: CollectA fallow deer

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm very proud to show you the 10 Wildlife finalists for 2014.
The poll will run during 7 days and only 1 vote per member is allowed.
At the end of 30th January we will know the results.
The winner will participate in the big 2014 toy animal figure final poll, together with other category winners.

I have such a hard time with that CollectA Black Bear. It was such a disappointment for me. (I love Bears, I love CollectA, I naturally had hoped it would be great.)

But I've been noticing how many people mentioned it in their top five lists of woodland figures. So I'm trying to look at it with fresh eyes and give it a second chance. (So far, it hasn't altered my disappointment, but I'm still trying.)

I also wish we had a better picture of the Barn Owl. It's such a beautiful model in person.

I'll try, but it would be Tuesday at the earliest that I could even attempt to take a picture, assuming the light would be any good. It's been snowing here and I use natural light. Sigh.

The figure has no chance to win, but I would like to see it better represented. I wish I'd had a chance to purchase the Fallow Deer. It looks like a great figure, but I haven't seen it in person yet.

In this poll my favorite won, this fallow deer is a masterpiece! Hoever, I am surprised with the ranking, I thought mouflon and fox completed the trio, bison and black bear have surprisingly good performances considering my personal expectations. Obviously the average quality in this poll is not half the average of Wildlife but we have to consider a lesser number of releases once Woodland series are basically North American and European fauna. I believe that this fallow deer, could have a place in the wildlife top10. Let's see how it goes in the big final poll. :reindeer:

An other big dissapoitment from me this year. It's a common species (ok the bison is a common species too), it has a really strange head, also the legs are very strange. Because that I thought that the bison will win, for me the best bison figure that you can buy from major brands at the moment. 
However congratulations to CollectA, I hope to see a female soon.
