| Nothing important but I just thought I would share something funny. I was flicking through the new Ikea catalogue yesterday and was surprised to see Schleich being used as display items in their catalogue! Look at the scanned picture, you can see the Schleich Elephant, Okapi, Rhino and Giraffe on the shelf but they are all painted white....... Schleich animals seem to be crossing over into all sorts of areas..... |

oh do post any pics up if you can and if it is easy to do. it is funny to see Schleich animals used in various catalogues....I suppose it shows how good Schleich are. At least Schleich branded models are being used and not other ones..... millions of people shop at ikea across the world....talk about free advertising! they were probably painted white to make them obscure and stop Schleich asking for licence fees or something... :-) |

Probably because I am a conservative old woman 'old woman' now Susanne age is relative, your as young as feel and as far as I am concerned you are and always will be our favourite spring chicken! (English term for a young person). I'm 30 and sometimes i feel old! lol But its true, I think some of us just feel like Schleich is ours and no one else's and that no one else can ever appreciate the quality of their animal models.....I get like that at times when I see people picking them up and throwing them around in toy shops...makes me cringe! lol Personally I think I am barking mad.... |

| Where do you buy your furniture to put your figures??? What is strange in this story? Collectors don't like popular figures!!! Only sellers! Isn't it? The only curiouse thing I see is someone painting white to obscure! |

| Today in saxony starts the smmer holidays. So my parents picked my daughter from her school and later me from my work. We drove to my home through enviroment and so i discovered, between my work and my home, the "Spielfigurenmuseum". It was a second hand shop for very old thing, and this shop have also a exposition with a lot of very old toy figurines, animals and american natives. I was only in this shop for 5 minutes but i will visit this again. I have also the telephone number because he also sell any figurines. At the moment i havent pics, sorry _________________ www.spielzeugtiere.com STS members can merge Andreas |
