Here is a walkaround from the Collecta 88561 brown bear cub.

That's a fabulous way of presenting this baby bear and comparing it with others.
I'd love to know your impressions about them! It is always not easy for me to judge youngsters once they seem to change with age.
In an instinctive choice, I tend to the CollectA figure...

I could compare it to so many more figures in my collection.
But for a general idea these 3 make good friends.

Remember CollectA put this bear on the market as "brown bear", not a grizzly.
Its mother is a European bear too.
Because of that the cub has a diferent bodytyp built, which is quite realistic i think.
Maybe it could have a little more shades of brown. It now is just all over brown brown.
But surely not a grey collar like on the Schleich figure.
Old Schleich is a nice try. New Schleich is more elegant in pose, look, texture and paint.
I am not very fond of the Papo face and smooth glossy finish.

If I would rank these brown bear cubs it would be
Collecta
Schleich new
Schleich old
Papo

It is interesting to read your points of view. I do know they intend to represent different subspecies, actually I don't know how far differences go regarding cubs. Grizzlies are obviously grizzled and have larger humps, it is evident in mature animals. I don't collect youngsters though I should study a little more about them. This topic is surely a good motivation.

It is hard to tell which one is best, I think , but I always loved the old Schleich cub.
Not only ( probably) different species, but it looks like the ones from Schleich are younger, doesn't it ?
