Golden retriever WIP - Finished

Hello friends,
It's a long time since I started a new topic, but now I  finally have something to share with you :)
Yesterday I stated with the sculpting of "Max", a Golden retriever that belongs to a friend of my mother. It's supposed to be a birthday (some day in march ) present and I hope I'll have it finished in time.

Anyway, here's what I've done so far. He's not too big (even though I planned it to be bigger but I suppose my hands have become too used to sculpting small things...). I've included a comparison picture with a smaller schleich dog. I do not own any Goldens of major brands to compare it with...

Anyone tips or other criticism?

I haven't any big notices to say right now
Now he looks very well, I need to see more detailed version. It's one thing that I would improve: do you think that you need to smooth his scapulas?

Anasta has a point, - the shoulderbaldes stand out a bit too much, but perhaps you planned to smoothe is when making "fur" ?

The pose, the head, the proportions are wonderful

The proportions were my first concern so that's probably whey I haven't smoothed the schoulderblades yet I think I'll be working on it :)

Very beautiful dog! Amazing work! I love the fur detail, pose and everything!

If I would suggest very little, really miniature change, I would add some material above the eyes, some sort of "eyebrows" (not exactly but I think you know what I mean) Dogs have some muscles above the eyes, that way eyes normally look like they are a bit deeper. I hope you don't mean that little advice? It's really a minor change I think?

Other than that he looks really perfect. The little paws are so cute

I understand what you mean. I'll add the "eyebrows" to my sculpture as soon as I'm able to work on it again :)

Thanks for the advise I always appreciate contructive critisism. I can't improve my work without it, can I?

Looking good A-J agree with Ana on the eyes, but for me the pose and texture is fantastic!
