Retired Arabian Mare

I ever wanted this model, even more when it became retired. But no nearby store has her. I finally found shop with two mares about month a go. I chose this one because of her face expresion. (Sorry for mobile photos, they aren't ideal).

I don't like the paintwork at all, mostly on mane, but what I do like is sight of her eyes - it looks quite real to me.

I 've decided she's gonna have a foal - the retired grazing one (they have several in two local stores).

She was made in China, in October 2011.

Curious and friendly - you named it perfectly  Maybe I should buy some apples from small farmlife accessories?
I'm looking forward to foal, as they have about ten for choice, I believe I can pick a nice one.

I think she is absolutely wonderful model, despite I dislike arabians at all (but I have some arabian figurines). I love that Schleich arabian family, maybe I'll buy them if the fate stops give me some opportinities to get my favorite animals
It is so weird to hear that shops of Czech haven't this mare, cause we have this one almost in every Schleich shop.

Thank you, yes, she is wonderful model. she is my first Arabian, I focus mostly on dressage horses and heavy horses, but I think I can't miss such a well-sculpted model. So I'm happy I finally got her - in Czech shops, she is quite unavailable. I've visited six shops in two towns during December and January and found her in seventh shop on beginning of February.

Maybe she is just popular among czech collectors and I guess sellers focus on novelties inestead of retired models.
Now I'm on the hunt for the Black Forest stallion..I saw three in nearest store, but terribly rubbed...

The same about the stallion! When I've been buying mine, there are three stallions too, all had some scratches but not strong (well, of course, it stand out on dark basis). Maybe you shoud order them by online? Online shops often sell figurines right in package.

I have no experiences with buying models online, but I actually discovered one eshop and I'm thinking about it...

You didn't see me when I did do my first order on eBay! Then I didn't know english like now, so it was like: «What? What did I do? What's happening» XD
Now I'm ordering by online almost always: our shops can't display all animals (especialy about my favorite animals — wolves > ). But I have one problem on eBay now: valuable of russian ruble decrease... But it can't stop me XD

And what a lovely model! The old arabian mare, she is such an adorable model. I agree she has the most lovingly expression in her eyes. No need to fear her, that is for sure.

Just a word of caution.
I have bought some figures online and sometimes they are beautiful, but sometimes they have some rubs or other mistakes (even when it is entirely new releases - you should think they would be more selective with those), so choose the shop with care.

Unfortunately, yes ! This is not unusual

But most often it is not the seller's fault. The good sellers don't take the models out of the protective plastic bag, but if the model has bad painting, they probably can't even see it

Most of them wasn't in plastic bags, so it was visible. And when I complained they just stated "the figures are handpainted and therefore different", but this was not just a different painting, but mistakes or damages.
So I can understand it, if they can not see it, but here they did not want too.

Well I owe them nothing - so it was Duborg toys. They are one of the few German online shops, I have found who ships to Denmark.
So now I have to look for someone else, because the figures are cheaper in Germany.
