| This evening I took pictures of three more Safari Incredible Creaturs for TAI. Perhaps you would like to see them, and probably you do not check Tai for news So I thought I would show these three lovely models to my friends here Compared to some of the Japanese models they may not win the contest of being the most accurate, but these ARE toys, and I think they are beautyful First Safari 269729 Blue Crab . The Atlantic Blue Crab is probably well known to our American friends, but to me it is very exotic looking According to Wikipedia they are quite frequent on the dinner tables "Over there", - perhaps somebody can tell us how they taste ? / [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Next one is Safari 261729 Galapagos Sally Lightfoot Crab . It looks unbelieveably colourful, but as you can see on this page, it is really more so in real life But still, this model brings colour and life to a shelf of sealife models [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The last one is not colourful, but very, very interesting , - Safari 261429 Horseshoe Crab Also, the Horsehoe crab is not a crab This awesome, ancient creature can actually save human lives, - and as a thankyou we eat them, use them as bait and ruin the places where they lay their eggs So let us smile at this fine model, - and perhaps give one to a child we know, and tell the next generation of the many good reasons for looking after Nature [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| So I surely love them and I wished that they were even larger to be lifesized. This line of Safari together with some AAA crustaceans, makes surely a wonderful collection of large sized creatures. My favorite is the blue crab, it is curious the way that Wikipedia uses to teach us how to distinguish the gender. Females have a abdomen shaped like US Capitol dome while males have the abdomen shaped like Washington monument! So, your crab is a male. It is not very gentle to say it but crabs are my favorite seafood although I never tasted this one, I guess. I also like that these are nicely colored, often companies make them look like they're already cooked. If I'm not wrong, Safari also did it with the shrimp. I am glad you decided to present these figures here once TAI is not properly the best place to check news, STS is that place. TAI is more designed to guide collectors about complete collections or to check which brands made a certain figure. That's the reason why STS and TAI are both important and can live together. |

| I'm from Maryland and Blue Crabs are a big thing in that state. I kind of want to get the Blue Crab as a memento of my home state but they are just so big! I wish they would release a smaller scale one that fits in with their other figures in addition to this one.
All three of these are nice though. I think with their bigger figures they are able to do better paintwork. |
