| Thank you for comments!  LeeAnn, I think the neck IS short but I'm not sure if it's too short for this species? Among Grevy's zebras, I think, we can see many specimens with very short neck (in proportion to body and head) Here are few examples: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]In general this zebra seems to have less "harmonious" proportions than other zebra species. Head is often very big and remind more the donkey head.

| With these references, I think the neck on your guy is fine. You're right, there is a lot of variation among one species. |

| This looks like it will be a very beautiful zebra! I think, for me, the painting would be the most fun part- it will transform the sculpture from a zebra body into a real Grevy's zebra. Also, Tapirus kabomani! Surely you can claim to be the first to sculpt this animal, so long as you use this name?
