| Hi all, I just downloaded the most recent Geoworld catalog to update their Wiki page and find that they have renamed their dinosaur collections, combined them together, and completely renumbered the figures. So I guess that means a bunch of reworking on the Wiki to add the new numbers probably by going to a columned chart instead of just figure lists. Any thoughts on this? New catalog is here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals

| What about waiting for another year catalogue? Won't they change it again. Maybe Dr. Steve Hunter can turn in a editor and change it all for us. They don't seem to repeat the same species and maybe we should simplify names only with brand and animal? So numbers could turn in a minor problem. :) |

| My initial thought is to leave the page names as they are, but add a new field on each page with the updated line name and number. On the Geoworld page change it to a three columned chart with first the Dr Steve number then the Jurassic number and finally the link to the page as the animal name only. Done as "Geoworld-page-name|animal name" in the markup.
I think it was a good idea for them to rebrand the line like this, making it more personal and not tied to a specific geologic era. I assume the product number change reflects new packaging and they retired the old numbers. The animals are clearly the same though.
I am happy to do the work on the page/numbers update though it may take a while as I am pretty busy the rest of this and next week. _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals

I think that it is a great idea ! It gives maximum information to collectors who may have an older catalogue, and we can see what happens before we go to the hge job of changing all pages and links Also it gives Takama time to change the photos if needed |

| Tim, I think it is a good idea although you'll have a lot of boring work! No hurries anyway. I'll try to use my time during next days to dedicate to the Play Visions section. Takama, it is great that you're exigent with your pictures. You can delete your pictures, just click in the picture you desire to delete, press alt+shift+d and confirm. You can also use the little arrow at the left of the search box, clicking it, delete and then confirm. Be careful, check always if you are deleting the picture or the hwole page. The picture page always starts with "File: ". |

| I would advise against deleting the pictures, they may be used on other pages like the species page as well so could result in holes.
Instead you can edit the page they are on by removing the links to the old pictures, then upload the new pictures and insert them in that place. I can watch what you have done from the recent Activity page and then make fixes for the species page. If you need a more specific step by step let me know and I will write you one. Later I can delete the old images when they are not in use any more. We have a special page showing unused images that I work on sometimes removing extra copies of images or things that have been replaced with better versions of the pictures. _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals
