| Here are some quick photos of a newly arrived boxed set of Japanese animals. There we so many , it took me two hours to unpack and assemble all of them and boy do I love them. Was never interested in Japanese models before but now I regret not collecting them earlier. They are all fantastic and their size means many fit in perfectly with the CollectA/Schleich scale animals. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| My jaw dropped..... I see soooo many fantastic animals, can't stop looking at them. The bug had bitten me a year or so ago, and indeed, I also regret that I didn't collected them before. But you made a big leap forward already! It must have be so fun to unpack and reassemble them all _________________ ~Karin~

| Thanks everyone. I always ignored the Japanese section of this forum for years and when I received one model earlier this year I began to realise that I am missing out on a whole world of animals that are incredibly detailed.
There are so many animal replicas of smaller mammals, birds , reptiles and amphibians which none of the major brands have never made and nor do I ever see them making - cranes, egrets, civets, spotty pig, kakapo, golden lion tamarin, indian hornbill...I mean who is going to make all of these? The Japan models fit in quite well with my current collection - will post photos soon!
I have another box coming soon which I cannot wait to receive. It is official - I am a Japanese replica addict!

| Subject: New Arrivals - Second box of Choco Q and other Japanese model animals! Sat Aug 29, 2015 4:18 pm | |
| I received my second box of Japanese goodies and I am pleased. It took me 2 hours to open each individually wrapped model and put them together - such fun! I am ashed of myself saying this as a fully grown adult ha! I really adore the Yujin lizard collection. The models are superb and their size fit's in perfectly with my animal selection. All the Japanese animals are lovely and I even bought some smaller Bandai animal antelopes and the Hyenas. The Hyenas, capybara and Alpacas actually fit in with other brand models because they look like babies. I even have a Blue-Footed Booby - I have always wanted a model of this cute and funny bird. | Subject: New Arrival: Kaiyodo Furuta Choco Q Ltd Edition Secret Shelduck Model and Catalogue Book set Sat Aug 29, 2015 4:46 pm | |
| I have recently received a model which I did not even know existed. At the end of the 5th series of the Choco Q Furuta series a secret Shelduck model was released which was sold with a special Catalogue book box set. I receive this today and have attached photos for you below. Even though the small book is in Japanese it contains photos and information on every model released from series 1-5 and a much more exciting item than I initially thought. The Shelduck comes wrapped with the book and there is a page dedicated to this animal inside. All in all a lovely little set but exciting as it contains a model that I was not aware existed...... | I love that "special" duck and thanks for sharing all documentation. There's a kind of post-Schleich era in toy animal hobby, I am not talking about market but about our online communities, now, more and more, we see collectors wanting and collecting these Japanese figures while Schleich fever is clearly decreasing. There was a kind of dispersion accross major brands and most ended with Japanese companies. That's not bad nor good, just an observation. :) |
