great idea mmm I think that the remaining lion cub will retire along with the leopard and cheetahs and maybe giraffe family but we have to wait and see

Thanks for the list Bojan! I've updated the first post

There's quite a few figures on there kind of surprise me, luckily there are only three horses I need to decide if I want or not. But based on the list I would guess that there will be quite a few figures to replace African fauna this year, and also that if they are introducing dogs they will be dalmations. Just a little longer though til we see pictures.

How do you know if these items are being retired

No doubts that is the official list, thanks a lot Bojan for providing it to us so early.
We already know about new elephants, surely we will have also new giraffes and some others that obviously need to be replaced once they are elementar in a range like Schleich.
What puts me more curious is all these small wild life figures being retired. Will Schleich charge us with lots of new babies or will Schleich bring back some small creatures like marmot, badger and animals like these? Well, we'll know it soon.

Wow i'm surprised to see some of those retired, the chipmunk wasn't even out for three years! I'm glad I bought one earlier in the month before it retied.

I'm sad to see the Arctic foxes go but maybe we will see a new species released in 2016. Gray Fox maybe? Hoping we'll see new versions of some of the retired models.

On the website it has nothing about the pet mouse being retired.  Is that wrong or right or what?

Good, that the chipmunk goes out, i have one, but i don't like this plants on his side.
Sad for the little dinosaurs, they only less than a half year in.

I got to say I am surprized as well some of them hasn't been around for very long, but thank you for the list.

I feel the same way. I bought mine online and was unpleasantly surprised by it. It would be great if they could just remove them.

I can't say I like this "buy it while it's hot" retirement strategy. Maybe I'm slow at choosing and finding figures, but with such a turnover, figures I may decide to buy can end up hard to find. Some of these I've never seen in person. It must be successful for the company, even if some of the choices seem superfluous.

Very strange that Schleich is going to retire small dinosaurs, with only one year of life. Also with releasing 4 small dinosaurs the next year.

My only guess is that its either an Errror, or there will be Repaints of them later in the year.

Either way, these first releases will be collectible. There now on my want list.

That pets-series has been round for 14 years then, so I am not surprised, - but the mouse ?
