Schleich Fighter Elephant

A few years ago I asked for this handsome man for christmas. I was so happy to receive him!

Pro's: He is VERY detailed! He has a slightly opened mouth, amazing coloring, and hundreds of painstakingly carved wrinkles. I found no blemishes in him! He rider is detachable and holds a spear. The elephant is also garnished with feathers and armor.
Con's: Sadly, non of his armor come of, which is a shame since he would be an amazing elephant without it! I couldn't find many other cons then that, so I will leave it as so.
Current Price: I found that the average is around $80-100, although can reach higher if in great condition and in box.
Other Versions of Model: None.
Weight: 3.1 lbs, at least on my scale.

Overall, stunning model from schleich with many pro's, few con's, and hundreds of fans!

It is a great figure--the only one that comes close in size is the Wild Safari Wildlife Wonders elephant.

As soon as it showed up in catalogs, my then-5 year old daughter determined that she needed it, so she saved up ($40 is a lot at that age!), and now has both it and the war rhino. Plus several of the warriors from the same line.

I would have liked the fighting equiptment to come off too, but instead I ended up buying the "saddle" instead and make it even more of a fighting elephant. Embarassed

She just has a thing for the giant, expensive figures--she also saved up for the huge Papo Brachiosaurus!
