It looks more finely deetailed on the pic, and so more chubby in real life...

Maybe the advertizement owl was the original owl model that they made a mold from...the lines and details are more clear on the advertized owl and the painting is better too.
A disappointment for sure.
I do love bird models. I was wishing that the Schleich made the smaller birds like the budgies bigger because I have one on my computer monitor at work and it would look better if it was lifesize ! :)

But it is still nice.

I want the Grey owl on the commercial pic please .

The real one seems a bit chubby but what other choice we have if we need that specie ?

They look great, although i don't like breeding-froms so much ,as nature made them already beautifull enough.
I do have 2 budgies only, from which one is a breeding form too, but it was a present from my love, so it is very special to me anyway!
But for that i have about 1500 fish swimming around in my fish-tanks...
anyway, i love those manderin ducks, they are really beautiful!

the faulkner is indeed beautiful and very detailed, but when i see the scale he lives in Hogwarths
