PostSubject: Starlux animals   My latest Starlux figurines EmptySat Dec 04, 2010 6:16 pm

Hi friends,

i always look for new and old animals, but even me can´t buy everything. But sometimes you have good luck and find figures for a small price. Some days ago i found some nice older Starlux figures:

I think most of them are from the early 70´is.

Thanks friends,

Starlux made a lot of animals which no other brand ever produced. I´ve never seen a Pekari or Karakal by an other brand.

There is a caracal made by a Chinese company, here is the one I have in the bottom left of the photo, there is one by AAA that I just traded away, but Starlux did make quite a few species that there are no other figures made.

Thanks for the photo Phil. I´ve never seen the Caracal before. It´s good to learn every day. Your diorama is really beautiful. It´s a pleasure to see it grow.

Welcome to the Starlux Club Torben, you are a very welcome new member! Cool
You even found some models, that i still don't have.
But i must admitt, that i didn't hunted for them for a long time.
They have a fantastic range of models in their lines! cheers

What line is the zebra(second one(side view) from the right) and eland(in background) from?
Only recommendation is I would remove the black leopard on branch in background, until some company makes a better version. I understand what your going for, but just doesn't quite match the rest of the figures in your detailed artistic display.

Congratulation Torben Very Happy. I am always very touched by seeing the toys of my young years in a collection. But it is moving more because I know they reached the shelves of a great collector. cheers

Torben

By the way, The caracal on Steve pics is the Playvisions one, made in China but for a US company in 1996.

I will be answering for Phil this time... Laughing
The zebra with his head slightlydown, is the old Lineol zebra, only re-painted by Phil.
The eland is a custom made model by Ana, known from this forum.
The black leopard is a much smaller model from Colorata, but ok, as long there is no better model in this position... Rolling Eyes
But i am sure, Phil will get a better one, as Ana is sculpting her head off, to make all the models Phil wants for his diorama's! Laughing Rolling Eyes cheers queen
