Schleich Accessory set 42246 with Gerbils

The little rodent Mongolean Gerbil is so cute looking, that it would be hard to make a model look any cuter  
I have looked much forward to getting the new set with a plant and two Gerbils, and they are delightful  

The set comes with a sort of Aloe plant, - they do not grow in Mongolea, but never mind

I still look for the Gerbils and the crock n ostrich nest. I want them so bad.

I was expecting a lot a walk around of this set. As a collector of species, a gerbil is a very good news!
That's a good idea for Schleich and I comment it a long time ago, there are lots of cute animals all around the world, not only rabbits, cats or pandas are cute. There are several other species that could easily fit Schleich style.
I like the concept, they make really small figures, not attached to anything with any extra to turn it in a set. It can expand in several directions and give us many good ideas.
I suspect the choice was because it is a popular animal in pet trade so the plant is not relevant pehraps, just a house plant.
Much probably I'll acquire it if it is not expensive, one of these cute gerbils is enough for me, is there any chance that you show it together with a known Schleich figure? Maybe the pygmy hedgehog or something like that?

Congratulation Susanne It is a worthwhile initiative to make such sets with tiny animals.

The sitting gerbil reminds me the Schleich 14406 White Mouse, could you make a family portrait?

They are my favourite Schleich in 2015, for me a must have. I cant wait to get them on christmas :)

I thought Aloe was an agave, but it seems they are not really

Thanks Susanne for comparison picture and Luka for linking us to the page that explains it is an agave.
They're small, more to the size of the chipmunk, I guess.
It is interesting of reading in that page that gerbil's global home is Asia and Africa and then, read at Wikipedia that agaves are native from South and North America.
Actually, agaves and aloe are very similar in appearance, they even have the same name in some traditional medicine.

My first ever pets where gerbils, and they are so cute and tiny, so I'm very tempted. On the other hand, I almost always prioritize buying horses first.
And seeing how maaaany horses there are, there might be an explanation why my non-horse collections are moving at tectonic speed.
