COLLECTA 2016: WILDLIFE - Wandering Albatross (88765)

This one was almost made last year but there was still some touching up to do. THis is the mighty Wandering Albatross. The plan was to make this on a base but with such thin legs and a big body manufacturing would have been an issue so CollectA decided to place grass between the legs. I was not convinced until I saw the model and now I dont mind!

This model is slightly big but that;s just the way sculptor sculpted it but I like it nonetheless

The party restarted and today is almost a historical day to animal figure collectors. I always wanted an albatross!

as a kid the Albatross became iconic from the SINBAD film.. the beauty of its majestic wings also will be something to wait impatiently for ! all classic releases today !!

Wonderful figure of an very nice species!

My zoo will buy this bird :)

Yes I can forgive the grass on this angel !!

A wanderin albatross is an excellent idea and I like very much the head of this citizen , the plants seem well made an not too strongly present. My question is aboutthe wings, Wanderin albatross have very large wings and I hope the CollectA are not too small.

Fabulous!

I like it, but I have a bit of a pet-peeve about birds with bases. Hopefully the material is hard enough that it won't bend over should I customize it.
