At long last I found a little time to find some of the models of these marvellous and interesting critters They are hiding in different boxes, so I start today with my Tasmanian Devils First the faces : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Then the tails, - funny how tails can look almost as different as the faces [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The two from Science & Nature could easily be parent and young : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Yowies. The left one is an English Tassy, while the mean looking guy to the right is Australian, - I wonder who got it right [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]CollectA and McDonald, - very different temperament Both face ... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]...and behind [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Love your idea of making a kind of mini SUY of Tasmanian devils, it is so nice to see them all together. I think the difference between McDonald's' and CollectA's is dietetics. McD devil shows the face of a kid when he spots a McDonald's, the CollectA devil shows the face of a kid when Mom doesn't let him go.

Now my thylacines Seing these models, I cant help thinking : ohhh, how horrible that the most invasive species of all ( Homo not-very-sapiens ) has killed these beautyful, unusual creature to extinction Looking at the pictures that Google shows, certainly isn't for the faint hearted But at least there are several wonderful models, and I am the happy owner of four of them: Made by : Mojo Fun, Hand made by Joan , Colorata and Albert Heijn [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The cute little fellow from Albert Heijn, from the series of extinct animals: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The wild-wild one from Colorata's series of endangered animals [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Beautyful male from Mojo !! I love the pose, - what is he looking at ? Something very interesting, I think [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And last, - the beautyful mother and baby, - Joan Milelire made them a couple of years ago. Again CollectA is more or less copying Joan's model, and this year we will see a lovely and extraordinary mother-and-baby from the most inventive brand of all [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]See more Thylacines at TAI : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Two nice wombats! Funny that both are females, presented in two different ways! Congrats and thanks for showing them. (The dark one is from CollectA, not Safari. ) I am waiting for a parcel to arrive of the nearest days with both these lovely ladies.

| Yes, these are different species. The one from Collecta should represent an common wombat ( Vombatus ursinus hirsutus) or an Tasmanian wombat ( Vombatus ursinus tasmaniensis) (both are possible), while the one from Safari represents an Southern hairy-nosed wombat ( Lasiorhinus latifrons). Have a look here. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Both are very nice models, they are both on my wishlist _________________ Find me on Instagram

Mine arrived today! They are so lovely, and I'm sure you will not regret buying them. The only thing is, in my eyes the Safari wombat has a little too big hands on its forelimbs. She will be able to dig big holes with them.
