| Hello!
Can anyone tell me what kind of plastic are the following CollectA models: Mustang Mare Bay Roan, Mustang Mare Grulla, and Thoroughbred Mare Bay?
Thank you, in anticipation. |

| I believe all of the small scale models are of rubbery plastic, with the exception of recently produced models in harder plastic. My Friesian and Fjords are all hard, as are the 2015 releases. |

| If you mean this TB bay mare it is made of a heavy and dense plastic as the old traditional Schleich. Others are made of a softer plastic but I think reasonably hard and not extra soft as the Lusitano earlier versions. :) |

| Thank you, LeeAnn and Roger, for your answers! I was afraid they'd be made of the soft, rubbery type of plastic...which ruined so many wonderful CollectA models |

| CollectA has altered the material and/or formulation of some horse. The horses of 2011 are still made of the same light material but with an upgraded formulation, hence it is still light, yet hard and almost unbendable. Some of the new horses - Knabstrupper and Hanoverian Mare - are made of this material as well. The Mustang Mare, which once was made of the heavy material, now is made of the light yet hard material, as to avoid bending legs.

| Yes, you are right about this year's Knabstrupper and Hanoverian. They are light, but they do not have any kind of problem with their legs. Do you happen to know if both versions of the Mustang Mare are made of this type of material? I intend to buy at least one of them for my daughter and I hesitated a lot because she is kind of unhappy with CollectA models that are made of the super soft plastic and have leg issues in various degrees... Any help in getting the right information would be appreciated. - donny ong wrote:

I believe both versions have been altered. But I only have the Bay Roan one. If you buy via online, you can't be sure you would get the one with the new material / formulation. I have suggested to them to alter the material of the Haflinger Mare, Quarter Horse Stallion, and Przewalski. |

| Well, I can only get CollectA models if I order them online from MPV...therefore, there is still a risk in it...I already have the Quarter Horse Stallion and it is made of hard plastic, very good quality, no problem whatsoever. But thank you for the answer! |

| Is the Quarter Horse heavy or light (like the Knabstrupper)?

Thanks LeeAnn. So it is the same material like that of the new Hanoverian Mare? Anybody knows about the Haflinger Mare? |

| Similar, but (at least mine) the Hano mare has an almost chalky "feel" to her, similar to the 2013 Schleich Shire stallion 13734. The QHs are smooth and have a good "feel" when you touch them. Haflinger mare is also the nice hard plastic with smooth feel If you have the Hano Stallion, the Appies, Friesian, or Fjords (just what happens to be on the shelf next to the QHs, I'm sure a lot more are the same...), it's the same material. Let me know if you like me to check any others! |

| Yes, the QH stallion is hard plastic and I like it very much!
As for the Hano mare, yes, LeeAnn, you were right about her similarities to Schleich's Shire Stallion.
I would still like to know about the bay Thoroughbred mare (88477) and the Mustang mares. The Mustang Foal 88545, which I already have, is made of hard plastic. Donny Ong says that the material for the 2 mares was changed. I was wondering what yours feel like, in case you purchased any of them. |

| I don't have the bay TB unfortunately but I do have the black one, oddly enough her head is hard but the rest of her body is soft, and the legs are very bendy. But I haven't had any trouble with warpage on that model in particular. I have the bay roan mustang, and she is the nice lightweight hard plastic. |

| Thanks All. My problem is with the QH and Haflinger. I have the bay TB. Same material as the Mustang Mare and Hano Mare and Knabs.

| Thank you! That was rather good news. It means the bay TB should have no problems with equilibrium and it can properly stand on its legs. I am considering ordering it for my daughter, then. - donny ong wrote:

| I have just received the bay roan Mustang mare. She is beautiful, made of that fine plastic, no problems with the legs. Will take her outdoor pretty soon. Thank you for the advice, LeeAnn! - LeeAnn wrote:
