The 2016 STS Logo contest

Absolutely beautiful logos again! It's hard for me to choose between number 3 and 6! guess the third one is from Anna

Finally got to vote in the last minute I had a hard time deciding between two logos.

Yes, the competition is stronger than ever this year

Uhhhh ! It is almost too exiting

It was difficult to decide between them all. So my son helped break the six-way tie of indecisiveness with his preference. :)

To be a STS member is sometimes really painful

Ladies and gentlemen, the breathtakingly suspenseful 2016 STS logo contest is closed.

I first want to congratulate all the competitors. You were six and you are all as important as the winner. Our forum can be very proud to see so much talented members spending their time and energy for this annual rendez-vous. I wish we will see more and more candidates in the future.

No work will be lost because, as usual, every logo in competition will be the STS logo for one day and will join the STS Logo museum.

I also want to thanks the voters. We were 71 for 2014, 124 for 2015 and 156 for 2016!  It is only 5,5% of the electorate but at least we are in progress.

As you have noticed, the 2016 logo will be the Logo n°4. Big congratulation to its creator AndresArt.

I think it is not lack of elegance from me saying that my favorite is LeeAnn's logo and I also love, for instance, the less voted in this poll. It is only to show how incredibly good are them all!

Wonderful logos, congratulations to all who designed them. Voting was very hard because they are all very well made. Congratulations to the winner!

Congratulations to the winner! It was a hard competition and I don't think there is any looser, right? All logos were beautifully done!!

It is wonderful to see them all . Each and every one would be perfect logos for the whole year !!!

I wish I had opportunity and time to participate in choosing new logo for STS... New picture looks good!

I'm enjoying seeing the logos displayed for the new year. The votes were also fun to watch.  Nice job everyone and congrats Andres!

Here are a few things I liked about each-

1: The lines and colors harmonize well with the rest of the forum page. I think it's an interesting idea to have words outside of the image's frame.

2: This map/globe background creates a distinct atmosphere, and the colors of the animals look nice with it. I'd like to see this map idea revisited in the future.

3: The autumnal background is different from what we've seen in the other past and present logos. I see now some personalities among the figures that I didn't catch at first.

4: I like how the letters are integrated into the scene as large objects- it seems like the giraffe might be looking at their reflections!

5: Something done by the STS resident digital collagist is always fun to see... and notably this is the only logo with the new, anticipated models featured.

6: I'm happy many of you liked my submission. It is, of course, inspired by the 2015 logo (and composed a bit like the 2014, too). I wanted to make an option that was really simple and hopefully restful for the eyes. Also the horse and wolf were new additions for me, that I thought were photogenic.
