| Hi again, In a previous post I told you I would like to deepen the model of birds, and here it is: a new raptor (after the Bearded Vulture). As usually, in a few days the finished model, after some details on the thinest feathers and painting. Hope you like it! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Excellent work! I need one in 1:22, can you work in that small of a scale? Message me if you think you can do something that small, I know the detail will suffer some but that is the scale I work with. |

| What an impresseive, beautyful model of this strange-looking bird The detail you make is fantastic ! Those thin feathers on the head !!!!! I can't imagine all the time and talent it must have taken , - WOW It will be great to see it painted, - but it is also interesting to see it as it is now ! Thankyou very much for sharing |

| Here it is: my egyptian vulture (in a "near" future, the two remaining Spanish vultures...). For those asking on the hairy feathers in the head, they are bristles from a toothbrush; their effect is much more nice at natural view than with the overdetailed and magnify view of the photograph. Anyway, I hope you like it, friends. Happy new year/figures!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Wonderful vulture - you have a masterful understanding of feathers! Can I make a small suggestion on the painting.. to experiment with a wash over the whole bird to allow some darker pigment to settle in the crevices. I think this would highlight the feather work and add greater depth to the sculpt without taking away fro the colour subtlety you've already achieved. _________________ - Tahnaya [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] https://www.minizoo.com.au/ |

| I like this model but I find that the color's face is too green. If you examine pictures of this animal, the color's face is between yellow and orange. Nevertheless it's a nice creation. Congratulations.

It is very difficult ( impossible ? ) to show correct colours on the net, - first the photo can change the colour, and people's monitors are very different |

Well, in fact, a greyish ink is already applied in the background, although it is hard to see because it is really subtle: I wanted a cleaner effect for such a white species, and due to its tiny scale, a darker grey background should have dominated too much. But I agree with you, and probably it could have withstood a darker background. Thanks indeed! |

I assure you that the true color is almost "pure" yellow (just a little brownish in the wrinkles) and no green was used, but the pictures (made with a mobile) are very bad, sorry. Thanks a lot for all your comments and praises, very useful and motivating to improve each new model! |
