Rhesus macaque by Costicuba

In the last batch Kosta sent me ( the one with the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Wink

) there was a nice Rhesus macaque. Kosta found it at a zoo and decided to repaint it. This is a big delicious model Very Happy

and it deserves a walkaround.

I thought that no repaint that Kosta did, could surprise me, but this one is so...so...so.. exceptional ! affraid

Look at the fur !!! The fine strokes of different colours that add up to the impression of a real "live" monkey fur Shocked

The mushrooms on the log ! The eyes and ears and skin of the face !!! The hands/feet ! The lighter colours on the shoulders, which protects the little feller from rain, - and all adds up in total harmony cheers

Kosta surpassed himself AGAIN !!!!! WOW bounce

First I have to say that the piece is very beautiful, it is in a very natural pose and with a beautiful expression. It doesn't matter the angle you show it, it always seems full of life. Very Happy

Adding to it the impressively realistic paintwork from Kosta, full of subtleness, the result is just irreproachable! cheers

I`m not shure how this material is with english name.... but in Bulgaria , it`s called : coral powder
..something like that.
This monkey was looking like this before :

I`m shure many of you have seen figures like this one in a souvenir shops.
Mostly they are from Thailand I think...
The material is heavier then resin.
