| Just before christmas I got an extremely exiting package from Willy. Almost all of them were of brands I never had in my hands before, how great to learn new things about old brands. | DOMPLAST, OMO, TIMPO from the 1960's
The OMO were premiums for the washpowder OMO...
HAUSSER ELASTOLIN from the 1970's.
VEB PLAHO were made since the 1960's I think, in DDR. Most of them were smaller copies of the older LINEOL.
DOMPLAST and HAUSSER were Companies from West-Germany.
And TIMPO was a british company. |

| Fine to see that the figurines arrived savely in Denmark! You asked me to give some comments on them, but my friend Christoph gave the right informations already. I saw, that you made the same mistake again with the name TIMPO TOYS Ltd, which is correct this way, and not TIMBO, because that way, you can't find anything on them on the net Susanne... They come from Scotland by the way... |

| WOW! what a nice set of animals, they remind me of my childhood with the brands and figures. This is a perfect example why I don't collect except for my dioramas, how could I have room for such fantastic figures? Congratulations Susanne and thanks for the photos |

| Thankyou, friends, I am SO happy you also like them And so is Willy, I am sure, that he opened this new world for me, - thnak you, Willy Phil, yes, you are so right ! It is not easy to find room for them all. I try not to collect everything, but love to just "see what they are like", - ha, ha, and then I see some more. Like the Plaho. I just wanted the hyena, - and now I have maybe a hundred This year I was going to koncentrate on Plaho, - hmm, already yesterday, the second day of the year, I found some nice Bullyland-birds..... |

| My dear experient collectors! I love also to see and have in my hands some figures from different brands, it's a nice way to learn about the history of plastic animal figures! Is there any way to get these figures without being infected or get a fever? |

Roger my friend, to be a honorable and estimated member here you need only a portugese passport and a Sarcosuchus. Good to have you in our community. Torben |

| There is nothing wrong with collecting vintages, they can give you the right feeling too, and that special smell, hhmmmm.... When i open up my vitrine with those uncoloured figurines, this smell comes up, which reminds me so much on my youth and younger years... The number of figurines does say nothing about the fact what collector you are Roger, collecting is a passion, that you can share here with us, and this passion says nothing about numbers of models, isn't it? And Susanne, Torben and Christophe are right, when you will see the Japanese stuff, then you will go overboard i am afraid, haha. Small in size most of the time, but very nice and deetailed, and quit affordable... Some extra information on the models before: Timpo Toys was Scotland as i said, and made in the 1970's mainly. These OMO washingpowder figurines are from the 1960's. The same for Manurba, Domplast and Heinerle from Germany too... :) Here is another nice item from Timpo Toys in my collection: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| WOW! Willy, those are SO fantastic ! They must be the pearl over all pearls of your pearly collection Torben, Roger, - you are so right, both of you. When I see a beautyful item on the net, I get this sinking feeling, my hands shake, my heart pounds, and I WANT IT But then , in summer, it begins to rain, and reminds me that my house needs new sewers, or in winter I can almost HEAR my boiler sucking the oil for heating, - eeeek! Gosh, it is hard to be a collector, - my new passion for bendies is not cheap either |
