Susanne, you are right!Birds are Kaiyoda.
Zebra is no brand, and no any trademark~~

You have sharp eyes! Bat is the same brand with Spoonbill. They are kaiyodo furuta.

Thanks, Hawkins! I keep discovering Kaiyodo figurines I'd like to have.. They made such wonderful figurines

Lots of wonderful figures and an interesting story.
So, there is no made in China elephants and because of it you can't get them locally? That's very interesting, I didn't know it.

What a greay flock of rarities, a mixed lot that could be a wonderful collection alone

I remember when we thought, during a long time, that SSS and Science&Nature were the same company! This hobby was always filled up with misinformation and we even created some myths that still survive these days. It surely keeps happening but in a much smaller scale. But misteries will never desappear completely, take as example the SSS yellow-eyed penguin, a figure that surely doesn't belong to the same series as your kiwi once it is manufactured in a different way. So, could the penguin be a random figure or it belongs to a series that we still don't know?
Sorry for my dissertations and congratulations for all your new figures.
