Miniland horse Empty
PostSubject: Miniland horse   Miniland horse EmptySat Jul 30, 2016 9:15 pm

Last week I made an other special purchase for me: the miniland horse model. Looking for in the forum I found few topics about miniland so I'm not going to spend so much time talking about this brand: Miniland is a Spanish brand, they don't make animal replicas, but other toys - specially for babies-

It isn't a good model. The horse is disproportionate because the head is very small. Also his legs are quite big. And the model I bought - second hand - belonged to a child, so he played with him and my horse isn't in perfect condition. Anyway, as the Tiger horse, for me these models are very special

Mine is a mare, - is yours a stallion ?
Ithink they are a little inspired by the old Cludesdale horses from Safari .

Perhaps you know that we are making a wikipedia for toy animals, - we don't have many pictures of Miniland models. :http://toyanimal.info//index.php?title=Miniland

May we use these pictures, please ? Very Happy

This one is amazing! Congrats :)

On miniland website just is said "horse", not if the animal is a mare or a stallion. But I couldn't also find your model, so I don't know if she is the mare or an other previous model.

Anyway, I found three shops in my town where miniland toys are sold, next week I'll go to see if there are more horses

I think your Miniland horse is very special indeed. First, it is one of the few relatively modern Spanish horse figures in that scale. Miniland tried to build a range of animal figures adjusted to the Spanish reality and the fact is that they introduced a draft horse instead of a lighter breed what is somewhat surprising. It is also an original design, even if we can find some inspiration as Susanne mentioned, it is not for sure a copy of any other figure. It is also different from Susanne's model, yours is the one we know from Miniland catalogue being Susanne's probably an updated version of it. I am really glad you decided to share it with us. Very Happy

The man from the shop where I acquired some Miniland figures told me once that Miniland were much better painted in their early versions. I have no idea about it and I also can't tell which ones are older or newer. Though, it seems it is not only a question of painting. Thanks for showing, Simmone. Very Happy
