The collectA isn't so old, it is from 2016, so those models are contemporaries

Of course we have to wait until we have real photos before we can say anything for certain, but in my opinion the new Safari one look's more albatross like. At least looking at the head with its flatter top. The painting is stiff and the legs seems to lack detail, but it's secondary to the likeness in my book.

Well it doesn't jump out at me. I prefer CollectA beak and wings.

That's a fantastic list of figures for sea life collectors. The elephant seal from Papo is quite impressive and it is excellent that they're making it completely new and not reusing the mold Schleich used in their 1:32 sealife series. I don't like very much the way walrus tusks are projecting forwards and the seal pup looks really nice.

For my list the reef squid, leopard seal, nudibranch, the albatros, the elephant seal, the mako shark , the bull shark, the blue footed bobby and the box fish.

Indeed , my marine mammal collection will grow in 2017

The leopard seal ,the box fish and the albatros by Collecta, the Safari nudibranch, mako shark and squid and the Papo elephant seal are interesting. The Safari squid is a absolutly must have

I'm very happy with the seal and I can't wait to discover the Elephant seal in real life. The Booby is on my wish list too since my Furuta one is broken.
