thank you so much the both of you! I really need to find a larger display.. the golden dragon is a schleich special edition (of the one besides it) and he's called Auruun. I read there was a very small number of them produced, but there are loads on ebay selling for around 55 GBP if you wanted to see more pictures of him let me know. :)

OOOhhhh! I enjoyed watching that! Picture after picture of wonderful figures en compositions. The little additions from Mother Nature, like the beautiful stones, moss, chestnuts etc. are making it an adventure to look at each shelf. Well done!

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments guys :-D sometimes I look at my displays and think they look like a pile of mess! When I get a larger display case I play to make little landscapes with model trees etc. like lots of people here have done. I'm glad people like my collection even if it isn't what most people like to collect here. Anne, he is made by Schleich and is called Nugur! If you google him you can also see the amethyst geode nest he comes with

You have one of the nicest fantasy collections I've seen! Not only do you have an amazing assortment of unicorns and dragons, but I see many creatures that resemble Quilins or other more unusual beasts. I especially like the large flying wolflike animal in the 3rd and 4th pictures, and the golden Eastern dragon. Both would truly be stand out pieces in any collection.

You're welcome! Basically, the ones I think look like Quilins are the Schleich forest unicorn, the Asian magical being, and any others that look like unicorn/deer hybrids. Sometimes they have reptile-like scales and dragon-like teeth, but generally, their looks can vary based on the artist. I found out what they were through watching Princess Mononoke, a movie which features one. I actually don't know of any Quilin figures made by the major companies so you may already have the best examples that exist. Still, you may want to keep looking for one. I can easily imagine we'll see one soon since they're quite popular in anime. |
