New Mojo 2017 Giant Tortoise

Today I would like to show you more news for Mojo 2017.

An exact species is not specified for this tortoise, but nonetheless I think it looks great and I hope you all enjoy it.

It is BEAUTYFUL

I am sure it is a Galapagos tortoise , - which unfortunately places it together with dodos, thylacine etc

But the model is wonderful ! Look at the neck, the scales on the legs, shape of the head and shell, - I can't wait to get one

I agree with Susanne, it is incredible how detailed this figure is. All these scales and wrincles give a very realistic look to it and pose is really nice! Below a Galapágos tortoise on San Diego Zoo website.

Why Susanne? Galapos tortoises are not extinct as species!

Wikipedia is updated by anyone who makes an account or whatnot and offers information, it's a community based website kind of like our forum. So you have to be careful sometimes with info because it's misguided or people pull pranks and write gibberish on Wikipedia sometimes, though it can still be a good source, you just have to be careful with where it's coming from on Wikipedia.

Anyways, there are some species (or subspecies) of the Galapogos tortoise that are extinct or near it isn't there? My herpetology knowledge is limited...

It looks really nice, and it would be indeed a Galapagos Tortoise, even when I must admit that the coloration isn't perfect for this choose, there should be more greyish than brown. And so I don't know if it also could be an other species. But anyway, it's very well done!

Some subspecies are extinct, nevertheless they are about 20.000

The picture in wikipedia shows quite another shape of shell...and on another page it says that the Aldabra GT is dark grey to black

No, it definitley isn't a Aldabra, because they have a small plaque between two bigger ones on their neck.

On wikipedia it is said "The carapace is a brown or tan color". I've seen some black and some brown or Tan in my life. The carapace, like for teh galapagos, can have different shapes.

I don't collect tortoises and turtles, but this sure looks promising I especially like to see Mojö's development in the paint job. I'd love to see this one in shops. Thanks to Paige and Mojö for sharing
