| The Indian elephant with paintbrush from a non-animal set (available now) and the February CQ cephalopod set (presumably on cords) and March CQ lizard set are the first releases of the year. Taking orders for all. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I don't have the first cephalopod set which I believe featured cords and hopefully someone who does could detail how the cords are attached and what the appearance is when removed.
But I do have a couple of the caterpillars on cords and those figures (though they obviously stand on their own unlike the squids, etc.) look fantastic when displayed without them. |

| I have the first cephalopod set. They had small black cords with a plastic piece meant to (I think) plug into a phone or tablet device. A tiny screw attached the cord to the tail end of each squid. This unscrewed easily, leaving just a tiny unnoticeable hole.
I highly recommend them, and this new set also looks promising. I recently drilled a small hole into the underside of each squid so it could fit on the clear display rods from a Colorata set.
The lizards look good, too. _________________ - Andy

| I especially like the Dragons of the World set featuring two Aussie dragons. Hope this is a sign that Kaiyodo will do more world creatures other than zoo animals. |

| Yes, only one new species and the bases are not really nice. I think I don't need it I hope next year they make another owl set in the previous style and with more new species. _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

I hope next year they make another owl set in the previous style and with more new species. I am also not buying this set. They are nice looking owls like always, but I do not need one new specie on a pole XD Hope indeed that next year or so, they will come with more new species <3 _________________ ~Karin~

| I can likely get the owls individually at new release prices.
Also, the squid set releases this week. Taking orders now.
Also taking orders for next month's (awesome) lizard set.
Thanks. Brett |

| There's a new Aquatales set of 6 due this fall. It is disappointing in that all 6 species have been done already (one at least 5 times), but they are nice, as expected, and one looks to be a significant improvement over its predecessor.
As my laptop and Photobucket no longer get along, if someone will PM with your e-mail address (or e-mail if you're on my mailing list), I'll forward the file for you to post here.
Of course I can get the set and anything else from Japan.
BTW, very unfortunately, there looks to be no animal CQs through November.
Thanks. Brett |
