Ok Roger, let's game. First I need to find my glasses The good points : This hyena is IMHO excellent. The shape is good, the walking pose is very realistic (like the wolf), the painting is one of the best I know. What is wrong ? Nothing for me What could be better ? : About the painting : the black socks ! Google "spotted hyena" and look at the paws. The paws on this model are too black, even if a few have black paws in real life, it is very difficult to be realistic on a model. It seems it has black socks. Normal paws or, only a bit darker than the body could be enough and with a better result. On this point, the old Schleich one is better. I think this could be change easily... I hope About the head : Like the black panther, it lacks a bit of details on the head. I'm not a sculptor but I feel it is too basic, a bit to straight. I apologize but this time it is difficult for me to find the right English words to explain... About the personnality : Nice ! maybe too nice... Some models have a very realistic sculpting, like the Schleich buffalo, but zero personnality, some are not so realistic but with a personnality. even wrong, you feel the animal in the model. For example, the Papo tigers have less deetails on painting than the Schleich ones... But they are far more tigers... No doubt ! About the Mojö hyena, it is a bit too nice for me I can't feel enough the predator... But it's my taste, you know I don't collect pets but wild. I hope it will help

I like the model of hyena very much, but all what Christophe said about is right! Head would need more details. I like painting but for basic color (not spots) I would choose less yellowish shade-I prefer the basic color on Schleich hyena. But on another picture the beige is different so maybe there will be many color variations By the way look at this photo: Looks familiar? I must say I love the walking pose and I think this figure is probably best spotted hyena in the market, congratulations Mojo

Thanks Christophe, Harriet and Anna! I agree with you too! If nothing changes, I love it anyway but I loved that the hyena was more wild and maybe slightly ugliest! I told it in my review to the developer! You are seeing other interesting points! The colour is because I use flash, you see different colours and different pics, but this point is not critical because spotted hyenas are sometimes yelowish, greyish and older specimens are paler! Your and further suggestions will be sent... and when it will be in the market I will want another hyena because I love this figure! Christophe, sorry for make you put your glasses but I'll try someday learn to take better pics!

Good! Roger, can I post here my pics, in my photos the hyena looks less dark :) Ana, I think you find the exactly photo used by the sculptor!!! I wrote Mojö telling that for me is the better hyena in the market (I'm sure about that), the only think I don't like is the white touch in the mane. With the photo found by Ana we can understand now what the painter was looking for. Anyway I think that withe touch is son much different that the other color that is not understandable. The best of that hyena is the right front leg, that is elevated. What a good choice! _________________ Joan Likaon Wildlife Models Shop my handmade models: http://bestiari.weebly.com/ my models in facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bestiari.animal.replicas[/center]

I think this photo shows clearly how this hyena is good, of course it would not be easy to make such a busy fur! I used this pic some weeks ago but not reversed here! https://sts-forum.forumieren.de/t1646p15-a-new-brand |

Agreed and agreed I will buy it eventually, but not cause it's perfect replica, only because there's not many of them on the market. I'm not too excited about the picture they used as a guidence... _________________ Robert

Hyenas in pictures and in videos make us create a very different image! When we see hyenas acting they look incredible ugly! When we see them in pictures they are sometimes even cute animals! In Papo we see a very strong hyena like it was from an warrior series! In Schleich I see a hyena that makes me remeber a sheep! ...or a chubby domesticated hyena! And from pictures the Safari hyena looks like a prehistoric mammal... but in this last maybe I change my oppinion when have it in my hands! This hyena is not perfect and it will never will exist! So is very nice to have our oppinions to make the best hyena possible! Thanks!
