Siberian tiger by Lu Feng Shan

I present you a really impressive figure of Lu Feng Shan. This is the Siberian tiger he modeled not so long ago. This time I dared to get it painted by him. I find it incredibly spectacular! The modeling of the figure, details of hair and face with that look so real ... The paint job is awesome (I can not stop looking at it)       .

It is really incredible! The sculpt shows a powerful tiger in an exciting pose but the painting is just out of this world, especially face and forehead.... just unbelievable!

Hello Cre8tivesoul !. The figure is made with polyurethane resin and paint with acrylics

Thanks Miguel! So it's a polyurethane cast from an original? What is used for the original model? (Sorry... I ask a lot of questions. I'm hoping to make my own figurines someday.)

Cre8tivesoul, you do not ask too many questions, when I started to make figures I had a lot of doubts.  
Well, the original figure must be modeled on a wire skeleton and on the Super Sculpey (hot-setting clay). From this original is made a mold with silicone and copies in resin of polyurethane.

That helps me a lot! At least I now know where it all starts (when I feel brave enough to attempt making a figurine.) They do sell Super Sculpey at my local art store.
