CollectA 1:15 Tyrannosaurus Rex

With my work we went to the "T-Rex in Town" expedition in Naturalis, the Netherlands.


Of course a museum has a store... The store had Schleich and CollectA models.
Even though I wasn't really active collecting at that moment (February it was I believe), it still got my interest and I wanted to bring one home.

I saw a few of the big ones on top of the closets thinking "That's going to be extremely expensive". I couldn't even grab them myself because they were so high up. The girl who was with me could get one and we checked the price. I can't say he was cheap (it's a huge model) but it wasn't thát expensive as I was thinking.
So, after the exhibit, I still didn't know for sure... Checked the prices online and he was €30,- !! more expensive on Ebay (without shipping).

After I while I figured... Meh why not, just take him home.
I had to pick one of them, they were all so different in coloring!







For your reference, here he / she is with a Schleich T-Rex

I've seen that huge T-rex in local shops. It was sold here for around 100 Euros so I think you've found it really cheap. It may not be among the best tyrannosaurus figures but it is surely impressive and very big. I think also it displays very well and 1:15 may not be the most common scale for prehistoric creatures but you can find several extant animal figures made in that same scale. Thus, it gives a good perception of how huge was that creature. It could be fun to see it together with the mighty red kangaroo Southlands just released.

It's huge! And the box that came with it was even more huge (I still have it, in the attic)
You had to see the look on the faces of the all the small kids... They were like "Mommy I want it too!"
