| Does anyone know whether the exclusive models sold in the forest/mountain box sets have individual catalogue numbers and what they are?
Models such aa the moose calf, red deer, ibex, mouflon etc.
I keep all my models with their otiginal tags. Such a shame the boxed ones dont have theirs. That's my personal preference.

| Numaan, be patient, I am almost sure that these figures will be sold next year or so as individual figures with tag as you like. I don't have an official source, just a prediction. |

| Hey Roger
The tags comment were just my opinion. However for cataloguing purposes surely each model will have its own official catalogue number right? I hope someone finds out the official code for each model |

| Yes. It gives a challenge for cataloguing For TAI I named them "Item - no. - animal", like f inst the Mountain set , - 41459 Ibex, 41459 Mouflon, and 41459 Mountain goat

I hope someone finds out the official code for each model As long as they are not sold individually, their official code is the product number of the set. If they are sold individually as I expect, so Schleich will give them numbers according with the series they are introduced. 14784 owards likely are the numbers reserved to these figures. Just a question of time and we'll know. |

Source: MPV ...... Yes, but the red deer, skunk and black bear are not sold separately, and neither are the three "Mountain dwellers" nor the three young ones |

| You may remember that during my visit to London Toy Fair 2016 I was informed that a new Schleich director had come over from LEGO and was planning to sell boxed set of animals. For this reason I dont necessarily think that some of the animals will be sold loose. I think those in the boxed sets are animals which may not necessarily sell so well as a loose set so they have bundled them in box sets. These are probably going to be limited box sets as 'testers' in line with the new director's LEGO style vision i.e. sell things as sets.
Also the box sets are only for forest animals. I am excited by the idea that next year we will have 'African wildlife' or general zoo/wildlife box sets containing more unusual animals which they wouldnt want to sell individually i.e. antelopes, aardvaarks, those sorts of things. This year we only got sets of forest animals so it makes sense for there to be sets for jungle animals etc. Lets wait and see
With regards to catalogue numbers - I am sure Schleich will have issued them with a number for internal recording purposes. Remember the Jubilee edition striped piglet, penguin, giraffe and kangaroo? These were meant as promotion gifts only yet they still had their own catalogue number. It would be interesting to find out the real numbers somehow but for now Susanne's solution is great! |
