| Are they the same? Mare looks like the one on the advent calendar and the foal looks like the normal run, don´t they? _________________ Visit my collection gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Visit my art gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I accept commissions! |

| They are indeed the same as the normal foal and advent mare. Schleich is using a lot of 'exclusive' models in new sets. Like set 42398 with exclusive Trakehner stallion from rodeo set 41417. Or the exclusive Appaloosa stallion in set 42389 from rodeo set 41416. The Falabella mare from the book 'komm mit kleines Pferd' 82816 is also again for sale, this time without book. I fear they are going to do this more and more. _________________ . Error 404 *Text not found.*

| I was not sure what set 42390 is. They are not in the catalogue, but found them HERE Are they an "Exclusive" set ? They surely look like the ones from the calendar Ahh, I see now that you question was alredy ansvered, - very interesting, and quite frustrating if one has spent a fortune to get them earlier The cow and calf here : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] are also from earlier expensive sets, aren't they ? |

| Yeah... Schleich is doing some things I consider some kind of disrespect for their collectors, if what I said makes sense. I hope you understand me. _________________ Visit my collection gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Visit my art gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I accept commissions! |

The cow and calf here : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] are also from earlier expensive sets, aren't they ? Yes, definitely! I shipped the rodeo sets in from America. -.- and now they are here normally for sale. I'm happy for the collectors who couldn't get them from America. But that doesn't take away that I gruesomely overpaid for them. And now they don't feel like exclusives anymore. Aren't those cows from set 42334? That was a complete barn I always wanted to buy exclusives separate from big sets. But NOT like this! Put them for sale on the same time or announce them to collectors or something! Now I just feel taken adventage of. _________________ . Error 404 *Text not found.*

| Since Schleich started with these exclusive figures, I insisted that soon or later they could enter the normal range or that they could be acquired as a standard figure. I know it is a risk not to get these figures when they're sold as exclusive and it is also hard to control our collector instincts. But those are often just marketing strategies almost painful to collectors. The word exclusive is very hard to use and it doesn't mean special or limited edition. When a figure is exclusive for a certain chain for a certain preriod, it is an exclusive. The Mojö mountain lion was a Hobby Lobby exclusive figure during some mounths although the company always mentioned that it was made to be included into the regular range. |

You are right, of course. Perhaps it is wishful thinking, if we see the word "Exclusive" and we feel like it is something unique to own one |
