Greenland dog

Hey fellow STS citizens,

It's been a very long time since I uploaded anything here in the STS village. I have been a quiet reader so far, admiring the wonderful and creative new sculptures, customs and animal figure pictures. So I haven't left you, but I don't know whenever you still remember my presence at this forum ;P

Due to study work I haven't had much time for sculpting but some time ago I got this lovely opportunity to give a short sculpting workshop to a small number of people. In order to give the workshop I needed an example. I like sled dog breeds very much and I have a small collection of schleich, papo, bullyland a.o. huskies/malamutes but it could use some more breed variety so I decided to do some research on the Greenland Dog and sculpt one in scale 1:12 (like the bullyland and older schleich sizes).

I now need to pick a suitable colour. I haven't decided yet, but I'm also not planning on painting him soon so I have a lot of time for searching pictures of lovely doggies :)

Great sculpts always look fantastic even without any paint. That's surely the case. I adore the pose, it gives a lot of life to your sculpt. I hope you will show it painted.
