| I want to give my opinion. I think Schleich isn't so smart in this. Now, there are more expectation about new models. Look this topic: 4 pages just talking about where we see the prohibited pictures. And there is also an other topic about 2018 figurines of safari with less answers and less visitors (understanding also that Schleich is bigger than Safari). What I want to say is that Schleich is putting the attention in something that they want to stop, and I think maybe it isn's the best strategy. Maybe, if they haven't started to go after everybody, we will have few pictures of 2018, we will talk about them but nothing happens. Now, get 2018 pictures is like a treasure. Also, the prohibition here in STS o in MPV is a horrible strategy for me. If schleich allows us to put the pictures and the links and also ask us where we found them, there will be easier for them to catch the offenders. They just have to go to the forum and see it. Maybe 2018 (and also 2019) pictures will be launched before they want, but finally they will cover the holes. At this moment, they have to look for in ALL internet, including social media. They were be able to work with us and we should make their work for free |

| I am very glad I am an sts member. The MPV community sometimes comes off as a little bit entitled. They ribb off on everything and in the end they still buy it all. STS is much more pleasant. _________________ Breyer: 66 Bullyland: 25 CollectA: 183 Papo: 82 Safari: 150 Mojo fun: 23 Playmobil: 117 Other: 288 ~ schleich count: 1222 ~ Total: 2156 My DeviantArt: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]My Twitter: @Tezzieh My Instagram: tessa.b.storm |

I´m guilty of that. I don´t like the newest Schleich horses but I still buy them, because, you know, if I don´t then my collection is not complete... I´ve seen the 2018 horses and I don´t like them. Braids, cuteness, wrong body proportions, almond-shaped eyes... Anyway my inside collector tells me to buy them so... _________________ Visit my collection gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Visit my art gallery at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I accept commissions! |

| I will today will post my personal reviews.
Of course all horses of 2018 will move in and I gotta say there is not horse I really dislike. There are few schleich horses I really dislike. Some, but few, but none this year.

Thanks! I am glad that the proibition is not an exclusive of our forum. It would be very weird then. I also hope that everyone here give his honest opinion as usual, Being it negative or positive. :) It definitely is not just our forum - the pictures are now also taken off the website of the danish shop that showed them |

I'm glad to hear we're not being singled out. I'm currently trying to do the Christian thing by not actively searching for the Schleich 2018 images until October (although if I find them by accident, as with the catalogue cover, I'll look). It's not easy or fun, especially since there are 2-3 figures that really interest me this year. - Quote :

Yes, I agree that people here are. I know that sometimes I can be brutally honest about my dislike of figures, same as the MPV folks, but this is simply because I value honesty. I also think it can help companies improve to listen to occasional critiques. |

| I am looking forward to see what they present about wildlife, they have to work very hard due to the increasing quality of other brands such as Collecta. Waiting for the desired photos!! |

| Unfortunately I have not seen the walrus on which I am also waiting. When it comes to wildlife, it most desires an Indian rhinoceros and we are glad we have two.And I'm also curious about the polar bear and the lion. |

Yeah but there is a difference between being honnested with critiques and laying into the company for not gearing towards what you want and still buying everything they make as if it is not the polished turd you just called it.

| How do you know folks are buying everything schleich makes? I always bought all new Schleich horses just to have a complete collection. But I must admit, I stopped doing this in 2017 and got only a few of the new ones. And can we please stop that MPV-bashing? |

I see nothing wrong with saying honest opinion about the flaws of the models of any company, that's also what collectors-forums are for. Even if those who criticise later buy said models after all. Maybe they consider the models still charming even if they are far away from perfection? Or want to complete the collection even if that means having uglier figurines among the fine ones. Why would that be wrong? I also would say that MPV is a very nice forum too, why complain? By the way, I think companies and also other collectors can learn a lot from critique and from exchanging subjective opinions, so that's a good thing. _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| Not only brands should deal with critics, forums (like MPF) should also. |

The difference is that a forum is not a product or a company with one vision and politics. It's only a place of virtual meeting for so many different people that they should never be considered as one collective. In this case, if someone's comment, in particular, made you feel bad probably it would be a good idea to contact that one person. You don't have to agree but in my opinion, it's not a good idea to criticise one forum on another one, especially because the people mentioned, members of that other community are not present here. _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| Indian rhinoceros fantastic beyond the proportions of the paint brilliant work.
Chimpanzee and koalas are just wonderful. Both figurines are in great poses.
The lion is nice, but the torso and the back leg are not right.Young lioness tragedy. For me it's a pity that they did it.
I have a question if schleich could not change a little lion as soon as such a small change with this background and leg and we have a great figurine? |

| From pictures: Indian rhino is interesting, Hippopotamus is nice although a little ordinary, Lion is not the worst of ever but again a bad lion from Schleich. It may be attractive to some collectors but quite far from what Mojö, Papo, CollectA and Safari released these last years; Polar bear is quite far from my taste and quite ordinary too; Koala is familiar, I feel like I have seen it before, the face look strange but cute, Arctic fox looks really great, I feel lucky actually, Chimp finds it all funny, Lion cub is defintely sick, Zebra looks good, despite the spreed legs, I think I like it, From what I know now for wildlife, it is quite ordinary, that's the best word I can find. No unusual species, no remarkable figures, I hope some more figures are to come. I need a release like the sloth bear or pangolin or 2018 will be around an ARctic fox for me. :) |

| I also think that they should add new species every year, so it would encourage everyone to expand their collection.Roger you are right hippo and polar bear is just not anything special but wants to have them. The biggest disappointment is the young lion and the young arctic wolf. They do not resemble schleich figurines and they are ugly. The polar fox is nice,The zebra is also cute,Only the back legs are as if she was just born and taught to walk.Lion i like more and more. |
