| Since there is already a thread about a black poodle I just put my pictures and question here. Found this poodle on a flea market and thought he is cute. He is about 8,5cm tall and has something like " Funrise 1988 / made in China" on his belly. A bit hard to read.. Is this a rare find or just another cheap china dog? | I think you need better pictures SUSANNE? Took those picture with my small camera... So it would be no good idea of customizing this poodle? Was thinking about flocking him.. |

| I have this poodle brown but have never seen a black one before-the brown one seems to be the common colour available. |

| I recently got the Funrise Beagle in a trade with Mitsukuni and thought it was the same as the model I had already but they are different [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Picture 1 is marked 1986 and Picture 2 is marked 1988 |

| How interesting, I like the first one's pattern. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | We have this model on TAW identified as Beagle 2 from 2015. Isn't it your picture too? I see it was uploaded by Susanne but it is not her pic as far as I can see. I see we have something interesting to study here. Are your figures marked with the letter F? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| This is so interesting, I love a dog figure problem! Yes, Roger's right in that the dog named Beagle 2 was released by Funrise as a second edition in 2015- so that's really interesting yours was marked 1988! The first Beagle that you got from Mitsukuni should be from 1988 like all the other first edition Funrise dogs... but interesting that that one too is marked with an earlier date, 1986! Maybe they could be copies? They're lovely Beagles though, it will be interesting to see what we discover! |

| The mold seems essentially the same, if so interesting that Funrise retained the mold for 30 years. |

| The picture of the beagle with the label was mine.I have rechecked the beagles again and it appears Bonnie is right-both are marked with 1988!so looks like I have an original and then the re issue in 2015!!Mystery slightly solved! |

| Thanks everyone. If I got it correctly, the first model presented is the original 1988 issue while the model with tag is the 2015 re-release. |

That must be it. My Funrise Mammoth is marked 1988, like many of the Funrise models we know. |

| I was just coming to start a conversation about the set of dogs! Mainly because I just got this guy in the mail, and I think he is the German Shepherd from the set? He doesn't have a breed, just Funrise 1988. Does anyone know if this is the same set? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Can you see if it has the letter E? It seems to be the German Shepherd, probably from the latter set but it is hard to tell. I believe those of the 2015 set are also marked with breed. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

Thanks to you, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and a few other members, these North American brands are gaining some protagonism lately. By the way, as there's no Funrise section on forum, I merged these two topics about Funrise dogs. |

| Mine has the letter H! I see that the enormous discrepancy between the paint job on the photos on the back card and the actual product remains on par with the horses. |

Ohh, may we see a picture, please ? 4 years later here is a reply to you Susanne. Taylor's Poodle. I am sure Taylor presented it in another topic but it looks wonderful here too. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] - Jill wrote:

I see that the enormous discrepancy between the paint job on the photos on the back card and the actual product remains on par with the horses. Very useful. I added your German Shepherd as from the first issue. I can't remember everything but I have the idea that the 2015 release only used 8 moulds and that may explain why only 8 are listed on TAW. I also assume I listed these letters accordingly with the way they are sorted in that backcard but your German shepherd is contradicting me. Though, since the information is being gathered in this topic, it will be easier to check anytime a new dog is presented. |

| Nice! Well, since getting him, I'd like to complete the set, so maybe someday I can help. That brown poodle is interesting, because all I see on eBay is the black one! |
