| Great sets Willy, I love Bandai and the PlayVisions sets have some really unusual and nice species. Thanks for the photos, especially the individual ones.

| Thank you my nephew, haha! Those Bandai are really great, i wish i had them in my younger days when i was building miniature-zoos..., although they are in may different little scales, but great anyway! The set you showed Zbyszek is from Playvisons, and not even complete, so there is more to wish for... |

| Subject: Some Schleich Classics copies came in last week... Sun Nov 21, 2010 2:02 pm | |
| Last week, i had a strange lot coming in. It seems as the manufacturer copied several brands in his production lines. They are all made in a softer kind of plastic, more like the original Schleich Classics. I hoped to catch some original ones with this lot, but they weren't... The quality is less, they are not marked as Schleich, and they didn't came out good of the moulds, because they have a kind of cracks on them sometimes. The strange thing is, that they used the Schleich Classics for the wild-life, and some older Hong-Kong models for the farmlife, although they were already copied by the Hong Kong manufacturer from another brand already. But they are produced in the same softer kind of plastic too, which was much harder in the 1970's... I am not sure in which time these copies were made, it could be the 1990's, but later in the 2000's would be possible too... Here they are: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The whole lot. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Dolphin(Schleich Classics copy) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Indian Rhino(Schleich Classics copy) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Bactrian Camel(Schleich Classics copy) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Crocodile(Schleich Classics copy) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Lion(Schleich Classics copy) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]African Elephant(Schleich Classics copy) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Tiger(Schleich Classics copy) The farm animals are in the same kind of plastic like i said before, but are all copies of 1970's Hong Kong animals. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Billygoat in white, which i had in a black hardplastic Hong Kong version already. The original model could be from Timpo Toys Scotland, when i don't mistake... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Cow in white, from which i had a Hong Kong version in hardplastic, made in black and white too. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Horse in brown, which i have in several colour-versions in hard-plastic too. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Scottish Collie in dark-brown. I have this model in hardplastic since i was a child, but much more deetailed, as the first Hong Kong copies were very direct copies of the original models, and the (copy-)moulds were much better then. With the years, you saw the deetails coming down in quality... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Sow in white. I know i have this model in pink from the 1970's too, but i still have to work on 2 collections on Collectors Quest, and the pig-section is one of them... |

| Thanks guys! Well, even if they are copies, or even copies of copies like the Hong Kong models, they are something new in the collection, and maybe a little bit strange, because of the strange combination the manufacturer made... |

| Well, they are old and cartoonish sometimes, but they are the ancestors of the modern Schleich-lines, which you can see quit good in some models! Here is the real one: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
