| Does anyone know whether Schleich horses of the classics series (till 1991) have a 'Schleich' written on their body or whether there is only a 'W. Germany'? |

| None of mine from before 1991 are marked Schleich. Most are marked W.Germany. The ponies, also called Haflingers ( 12405 and -6 ), one is not marked at all. My foals (1203 and -4) are just marked GERMANY. Of course I can't guarantee that some exist with different marking on them |

| Thanx for the reply. I wasn't sure whether the ones I saw were genuine or fake (because of the missing 'Schleich').

Ohh, yes, - but there are some that are almost copies. They are usually marked with another name (Caro or something like that ? ), and were sold with coffeee, as far as I remember. But some of the oldest classics are not marked at all. However, when you get to know them, you can feel if they are the right kind of material |

| Is this a Schleich horse? It looks like Schleich 12409, but the colors are not fitting. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
