Hello there!

It was long time ago, when I was asked to do a border collie, but the work was finally finished only several days ago, and so I feel so big shame about it Embarassed

Well, sometimes we need more time. I think it's better to spend more time and do something really nice than do it fast and with not so high quality as may be.

I also have many progress photos, so this topic will be updated later, so don't miss it! Wink

Tomorrow this girl named Mystic will start her trip to Karin, let's wish good luck to the parcel! cheers

She has 6 teeth which were inserted to her jaw: 2 fangs and 4 molars

The past and the present
I don't even remember when I made the first border collie from placticine. I suspect, I was 12 years, when I had finished with this material.

Anasta, it is wonderful to see you here! For a certain time we could not even see your shadows. Wink

That border collie is made up to perfection! It is incredible and I love all detail you put on it. The mouth is masterly done and the dog has a exciting expression.
Mystic will find Karin? What a perfect place for a Border Collie to live. I also enjoy your childhood projects and I am looking forward to see stage pics. :)

First of all, we with Karin needed to decide a question about scale:
Here you also can see young Willhelm. Poor boy isn't in his best condition now. Do you remember a problem with a wire in his paw? I think it won't ever ends. Wire continues to react with material, despite velvet clay is dry already more than 2 years.

First layer of plastic. Material is Cernit plastic.
Cernit isn't liked by many sculptors because of its hardness. And it is true: if you keep one piece for some time, it becames SO hard that your hands will hurt after sculpting. But if you know magic, all became much more easily Wink

She has the exact border collie-expression, and she looks so happy! I love Mystic drunken

Karin already showed me some pictures of her, but I can't wait to see her in real when I'm at Karin's again, one day! And it's so nice to see those progress pics! I love the comparison photos with your old border collie sculpture, they both have their charms! And I find it really nice to see you used black and white clay. Less work with painting, but still very nice!

This has to be one of the best dog models I've ever seen, he attention to detail is amazing :) I especially love the mouth. And the wip shots are fascinating. Beautiful!
