Thanks Barracudacat and Christophe - Anna has done a terrific job and her popularity as a sculptor has been proven by the amazing reaction to these figures.

I understand they have finally been shipped from China after being held up by (would you believe it) a shortage or cardboard cartons!!. It now seems most likely that they'll be an early January release. Smile

Some days ago, the Brumby family by Southlands arrived in my house! Wow, what should I say!
"The brumbies" are one of my favorites models among all horse models.
Have a look at the amazing quality of the models, they are so pretty well detailed and the texture is absolutly very nice.
All in all, these models are excellent examples, how great models could be... drunken
The brumbies  have been created in collaboration  with Anna Dobrowolska-Oczko and I hope, Southlands and Anna remain true to themselves
also in the future, because it's a great team. Many thanks to people by Southlands and Anna for the Brumby family.
They are really treasures for the collectors community!

Exactly Yvette! Thanks for your great pictures! Anna and Southlands never stop amazing us. I don't use to pay too much atention to foals, they are often almost the same and rarely show any kind of charism or even autencity. Though, this brumby ffoal is something absolutely unique, the sensation of lighteness, agility and delicate sculpt, give to it a very realistic touch and turns it in a remarkable figure.

Roger, you are right. That foal is the best model ever Applause Applause
It is only a day or two old, and almost only legs , and moves like it does not really touch the ground drunken
Also the face with the long ears, the light eyes, and the rounded muzzle are just as they look Very Happy

Thankyou for the beautyful photos, Yvette Very Happy

I'm so glad to see you like them so much, Yvette! From your photos, I can see that the models are really well manufactured, no details or texture were lost in the process, so it makes me also very happy Smile I'm also pleased with the paintwork quality, especially on the two adult horses Smile

Thank you for your words about the foal mould, my main references were indeed very young foals, only a few days old, just as you said, dear Susanne!

I'm very happy about the cooperation with Southlands Replicas, it was a joy to sculpt for them!! And it's an even bigger joy to now see how well the final products look and how my friends enjoy them! Smile

PostSubject: Re: Brumby Family   Brumby Family - Page 2 EmptyFri Jan 26, 2018 10:00 pm

They're stunning! I'm speechless, but have to say at least something....I'm not focused on feral horses, but these are must haves for me. I'm happy Yvette helped me to get them from spieulzeug-guenstig. They're on the way now and I can't wait to get them in my hands.
The stallion is just awesome and handsome, love his pose, convex profile, all the details such as wrinkles. Paintwork looks really good.
The mare is also stunning, her pose seems to me like she is objecting to stallion's rearing - Like: calm down, or you frighten our little baby (but the baby really doesn't care). Her soft colour and shading is beautiful, I only wonder what colour is she? Is it a palomino, or cremello? I guess cremello should have blue eyes and the foal should have a cream dilute and be palomino in that case, so I go with palomino with mane and tail coloured by dust and sand. Anyway, perfect quality of painting and overall finish.
And the foal - I'm a foal person, I do love foal molds and this is just perfect! Definitely the best foal in Little Bits scale. It looks so tiny and skinny compared to even some of the smaller foals by Schleich and CollectA, but still detailed and brilliant sculpt.

Thank you Yvette for amazing photos and comparison, thank you for getting them for me and thank you Anna and Southlands Replicas for such amazing models! cheers cheers cheers
