| Beautiful new additions. The swallow would fit right into our farm with the other real ones We even have two different species. I don’t know their English names but directly translated it is city swallows and country swallows with different markings and behavior. Sent from Topic'it App |

| Big congrats, Susanne! What can be as pleasant as such parcel from Kosta, with drawing of your favorite cat breed? So kind of him! It was such long time since I've seen your activity here that I really started to worry. Hope you won't get any depressed days anymore! P.S. I still remember how I received a parcel from Kosta long time ago: I have never seen such suprpises that were selected with such kind of attention _________________ My shadow's the only one that walks beside me, My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating. | A couple of days ago, I got a wonderful gift from Portugal Yes ! It was Roger, who sent me again som unusual and beautyful models, most of which I have never heard of before ! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Among them, there are a pony and a cat ! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]They are marked like this : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The bag is marked like this : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And as you can see they must have a whole range of different models : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Roger wrote to me about them : They are sporadically found on Lidl supermarkets. They are not as nice as our famous brands but they have their charm and their own design..... Delta-sport is a company that produces toys, clothes, etc., those we can see in these supermarkets. It is a kind of brother company of Lidl. Playtive is how they are branded. Clothes produced by Deltasports have another brand name as well there are other brand names to other group of products even if they are made by the same company. It is sometimes confuse once we are used with Schleich that uses the same name to the brand and company but there are also lots of other companies using several brand names as it happens with K&M International that uses the brand name Wild Republic to their animal themed toys. At Toy Animal Wiki we use sometimes the brand name, other times we use the company name. It is not a problem once it is a collectors site and the best name is the one that identifies better the figure, the one we are more used with. In these Lidl figures, I have no idea which is the best name but they are sold as Playtive. So you have a Playtive cat and a Playtive pony.
A closer look at the Playtive pony [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]and the lovely Playtive cat [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A lovely, shaggy donkey, marked only with a D under his tummy : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]He has the cutest face. I love the way that one ear is listening to something behind him, while the other ear is focused on you [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And the ! A chinese pangolin [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]She is of the same brand as the Tibetan fox and the Pallas's cat I got from Kosta Actually this one has also been staying with Kosta for a while. He sent her to Roger ( who had one already), so they agreed that she should go to me [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I found a little branch for her to climb on. When this heat wave is over, I'll find a better one Isn't she ever so cute ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Thankyou ever so much, dear Roger ! |

| Big congratulations, especially for the pangolin. I hope and hope that the pangolin (and fox and cat and...) will find the way to my home sooun.
For the LIDL animals it is similar like the Aldi figurines (Kindertoyz) in the past. Big brands produce for that discounters in Germany but in that discounters there were sold under other brand names because the prices are cheaper. I heard that all brands by Aldi for example where produce by big brands as a cheaper line with a name of ALdi. So i heard that Siemens produce Medion, the Aldi electronic serie. |

| Susanne, I am glad you enjoy these figures. It is not easy to find figures that you do not have yet. The poor donkey was something I've found in a flea market but, as all figures I find on that market, they are always loved a lot. Andreas explains how the market usually works although I am convinced these designs are really from the company Lidl related and not from a big company of toys. I opened a page on TAI to list them. You can upload your pony and cat whenever you want. They seem to have some difficulties designing mouths. Though, I wished they had introduced a fox or a pangolin in their range. |

| I haven't yet replied to these last additions and you already gave me a wonderful´Père David's deer! About the Maia & Borges elephant calf, it belongs to a little group of experimental figures M&B manufactured to Science4you and that was the only elephant calf I've seen in all shops I visited! Even rarer than the M&B muskox that seems completely illusive these days. I agree with you about the lion, it is quite nice when compared with most lion figures, surely better than the SOL90 one. I love also the comparison picture of the bears, similar marketing concepts and completely different figures. Just as Simone, I enjoy the way they used to make the Iberian lynx ear tufts, it is important to have them sculpted. Now we know not only 2 Iberian lynxes but three instead. Fallon presented a completely unknown one from Toy Major that was released at the end of the previous century. Please don't forget to put your pictures of the OpenProm figures on TAI, even in these pages where you can see my pics because yours are a million times better. |

| Thankyou friends, for all the kind comments ! And it seems there is no end to the generosity of the people who share this great hobby ! Yesterday, I got the most amazing parcel from Maria ( Teardrops), who lives in Bulgaria ! Quite out of the blue, she decided to give me some of the most amazing gifts, that I would not even have dreamt of owning !!!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Look ! Loook ! This orangutan is so rare that I thought it did not exist ! And it is even brand new and with tag ! It is from the very first sets of Safari Wanishing Wild models, and I thought that perhaps it was just some models that they sold from a local brand. But no ! This model has Safari moulded on it, and the year 1990 ! I am giong to make a special topic about this model , and will add a link when it is ready [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Maria also sent me THREE PV Lemurs !!!!! They are also models I thought I would never own ! The enormously cute Potto [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A Ringtailed Lemur with the most wonderful little mischievous face !!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And look at this ultra-lovely little critter : A Verreaux's Sfaka !!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]My dearest Maria ! How on earth will I ever be able to thank you for this totally unexpected gift of precious jewels ? |
