Haast,s eagle

I cannot hide my admiration for your talent. I feel like watching a work of a reputated Renaissance sculptor even if I risk to sound exagerated. That's what I feel, that figure is just phenomenal, impressive and sumptuous!

Final photos of the Haast eagle (scale 1:20) once painted. I tried to represent the animal according to the descriptions that have been provided by people who lived with the monster and next to a trunk of "kauri", the tree that probably lived with this bird ...Hope you like it !

After a while I have been making the copies of the eagle and beginning to paint it. It has given me enough problems with the stability of the figure and the risky way in which the eagle joins the trunk I think I solved it by adding a base that imitates soil with moss from the forests of New Zealand...

Extraordinary work. No more words to describe such perfection. That moa of the other artist is obviously also a very good piece but it seems to be a very distracted moa. It doesn't surprise me anymore that they're extinct now. :)

Haha, you're right Roger, the moa seems to be walking through a park without any rest of wild instinct to react to what is coming on him.
