Mojo models with new painting :-D

I was almost sure we already had a topic to show the models, which Mojo has launced with new painting, but I can't find it

Well if anybody finds it, we can always merge

NB Everybody is most welcome to participate here with pictures  

I had to get a little Breyer Stablemate Icey from MPV, and saw that they had quite a lot of the repainted mojos, so click..click, tap, tap ! and my budget was ruined for this month

I always loved the Mojo sheep, and with the new colour they are even more wonderful

Hmmm....I think the rooster and cheetas benefited most from their "new" looks.
The rest?
I miss some detail, shadow, and dept, especially in the fur coats, that the older ones have.
But the new ones are also nice to have.
Especially for people who like to collect variants.

Did not knew Mojo Fun had so many new color varriations!
I like the lynx conga the most, you even have a white one!
I also love to collect color varriations of animals, as long as I have space for them XD

A great array of comparisons, Susanne! I love seeing paint variants among animal figures, especially if they are improvements. I recently got the Mojo Fun Clouded leopard featuring the new paint job and I love it!

You can find about Mojö variations in This topic and this one. I could easily merge them all but, both previous topics, miss their pictures due to Photobucket Armagedon. SoThus, your idea of opening this one is very good. Thanks also for pointing the new variations with the year, it really helps. From "dramatic" variations, always interesting even when not nicer to some painting updates hard to understand. Sometimes it looks more like it is adjusted to the tools of a new factory then a real update. Obviously I have to thank you the fact that you've sent me the two most interesting updates that I intend to show in my additions topic when possible.

It is really useful...it means that I can put the year on the previous lynx and leopard

Very nice pictures! It's wonderful to see all the variants together. The cats in particular seem to be a major improvement. I especially love the spotted Smilodon. However, in my opinion, the black faced sheep, fox, and hyena are a step down from their former quality. Many seem to be missing shading or defining markings. Perhaps they will keep trying to improve them on future releases.

Uhh, that's a long story, but I'll try to make it short  

Croger was in contact with James Conolly, who started Mojo Fun, and James asked Roger which animal he would like most as a model.
Of course, being a Portugese, Roger wanted an Iberian lynx !

James invited a small group of STS-members to give comments to the model as he made it ( one of them being Anna, the artist hwo has since created several Mojo models), and I was fortunate to succeeed to push my way into the group too
( the first years, Mojo gave part of the sales price of the lynx model to help saving this extremely rare species, I don't know if they still do it )

At that time was also collecting "rohlings" ( unpainted models), and with help from Roger, James heard of this, and gave this one to me, even before it was being mass produced
So I love it very much, as you understand !!!!

                 

I thought it was special and must have a story. Thanks for telling me about this unique figure, very interesting.

To be honnest, I also prefer the old Arabian mare ...

On the stock photos, the new one looked some how better to me, and because I didn`t have this model,
I decided to take a risk with the newer one... but on real .. I didn`t like it so much .
So, my risk failed

So I have no idea which ones I like best, some parts I prefer the older, some parts I think the newer are nicer. What I am sure is that I love both models.
Are the new versions from 2020?

On MPV, where I got them, the info for the Suffolk Punch Mare is : 2016 version
For the foal, there is no info, but it is maybe the same year.
For the Arabian Mare in foal : 2017 version

Thanks for info, Kosta! I always forget MPV provides the year of the variations.
They are now on TAW and this topic was moved to the main Mojö section of the forum.
