THE Beagle dark 16302-1 for cheap price

When my son showed me abut net-auctions, perhaps 8 - 9 years ago, I bought these four for 10 DKR, - app, 1,2 Euros !
I was thrilled when I got them, because I discovered they had the Schleich-sign, nobody here knew what they were

Ab 1995 hat Schleich grundsätzlich unter allen Figuren einen 4stelligen Jahresstempel.
Dies dürfte der Grund für die 1994 unter dem 16332 Beagle sein. Das eigentliche Modell war ja von 1994, auch wenn er nun 2003 neu aufgelegt wurde.

At the year 1995 Schleich marked all the models with 4 Yearnumbers. So the 16332 beagle became also a yearnumber, and in because the model was from 1994 they take 1994 on it.
On the older figurines they often don`t take yearnumbers ore only 2 yearnumbers for example 94.

But I`m not an expert, I`m also only a collector. And my english is more worse than the english from susanne.

I think the hardest finding figurine is the farmers wife with the black skirt. But she is not so expensive like the dark beagle. I don`t know why? I think the most collectors only knew the figurines of the gascher`s collector guide. And so they don`t bid on it.

You are right, if a figuere is not in Gascher`s it is often surprisingly cheap !
Like the old foxterrier and poodle, and the pigs from the 60`s.
It is only if two or three collectors discover them at the same time that bids can go mad

Something like that you must buy on a flewmarcet.
I bought the pigs for 20 ct.

But nowadays there are too many experts on flewmarcets and so it is hard to find treasuries.
But the old Schleich Models without Schleich mark are often sold for only Cents.

Like everything in the world, you must have luck. :)
Everything buying on Ebay would be to expensive.

As example, I always wondered why my pig eating 13117 has the year-mark 1995 and was in the stores 2002. There are some other figurines with a "wrong" year-mark and I was wondering about that. Now the (for me) big mystery is solved!!!!! So it seems that all 16302-1 Beagles with a 1994 year-mark are repaints. Is anybody here who has it without year-mark? Always wondered why that special Beagle had such a high price, that the hobby-collector can't afford it. Maybe he is so rare that he didn't exist in real only as repaint

I bought him just before people went completely crazy, - only a litte crazy

I have no documentation for this, but it is my impression that compared to what else you could get for your money 20 years ago, they were very, very expensive

But the prices surely have increased the last 6 - 12 months

Hallo, der Beagle in der Mitte ist 16332 (2003 - 2006) Made in China.

Links (mit Karte) u.Rechts (mit Scheife) ist 16302. 1994-1997. Deutschland.

Aber der linke wurde 94 hergestellt.
95-97 vereinfachte man das Airbrushverfahren und ließ das Buch weg. Somit wurde er dann so wie rechts mit Fähnchen verkauft.
Der in der Mitte ist ja der Made in China von 2003.

I am not sure I understand you, Peter. My German is not so good. Are you saying that they ended the little white book in 1994 ?
Because they did not. For instance the Golden Retriever, that was made from 1996 came with the white book.

I am interested, because I have the beagle like the one to the right with the white book on.

I've never seen a special beagle painted in the same manner as this one. Maybe that is why there were so few bidders. Look closely and carefully...
