Amami Rabbit WIP

I wanted to sculpt an unusual rabbit specie and I choose the Amami Rabbit. It is quite challenging to sculpt since the proportions are different form common rabbits like the small ears and head.

Here's the progress so far.

I decided to make it a little bigger then the usual scale, otherwise it would be quite small.

I hope to add more langomorpha species, but I will first focus on this one.

Hard to give any kind of feedback when it is already looking fabulous! I think you are getting it so nicely that it is quite recognizable to the species level. Despite not being a lagomorpha, have you ever tried a mara?

A mara is an unusual creature too with their weird long legs, I never tried to sculpt it though...

I made some upgrades on the head especially. The ears were (still) a bit too big so I sized them down.

Amamia! It is looking great! Fortunately, even lagomorpha are more diversified these days among major companies. I hope someday to see some western company following your idea.
