Thanks to everyone!
Yes, this bows make figures little childishly and I prefer them to be without it, but this is a general idea of this figure set: to dress up all animals in a tie (the name of series is "Qtie animal" and I think it means "cute" and "tie" together).

September 2008 - it's was a time when my small collection contained only 3 Chinese orca figurine. And then, when I found my first quality killer whale (4d master puzzle model), I understood, that I want to collect a lot of such figures.
That's why 2008 is the year, when my collection officially started.
Now, at September 2018, I can show all cetacean figures, that I have at this moment.
This is the result of 10 years whale hunting.
And the hunt will be continued Cool

Thanks for all of you! I'm glad to see that people like my collection.
I haven't got a lot of figures since last photos. Only 3 new figurines came to me during last 2 month.
There are:

1) Rather rare grey whale by Kaiyodo Choco Q (11 series).
2) Leaping orca by SUMMIT (2003 year).
3) And big sculpture with two orcas called "Breaching the Waters from Ocean Odyssey series by Walt Youngstrom, USA (1994 year).

I'm in love with my new killer whale!
It made by Sandra Brue and her brand "SANDICAST" and the weight of this monster is 4,5 kg.
The figure was made in 1990 year and now this is the oldest model in my collection.

Thanks to all of you who interesting of my figures! I hope that you'll like this one too I love you

Jolly Reaper's Collection - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Jolly Reaper's Collection   Jolly Reaper's Collection - Page 2 EmptyThu Feb 28, 2019 3:09 am

Hi everybody! Nice to see here all people who interesting of my collection!
Last post was in December, and new 2019 year had already brought me some new additions What a Face

And I perhaps start with sad photos.
This is 43-cm killer whale sculpture from San Juan Islands (USA). It's first sculpture of other 30, that master ever made.
But it's more accurate to say "WAS".
Sender didn't packed it well and it was broken on the way to Russia. This is real tragedy for me, because I never seen such sculpture before during all my collectible time.
Only good master can repair it because it's very heavy (more 4 kg) and broken at an angle - so no glue can hold such weight. Unfortunately I can't find good sculptor in my place of live now and this beautiful orca lays "disassembled".
Sad

But I have good news too!
I met the coolest cetaceans sculptor in the world! Her name is Yumiko Wakisaka and she lives in Japan. She loves whales very much and often makes photos of them in sea walks. And then she make very detail and naturalistic sculptures that based on the real whales she have met in the ocean.
And it's all by her own hands!

So I had the good fortune to have 3 sculptures made for me by Yumiko. And I must say, that they look like absolutely REAL orcas. They more qualitative even than some production of official brands.
Thank you, Yumiko!
You're the best!

Besides handmade orcas (left side) I found the sculpture that I've been looking for a long time (right side). This is the Japanese brand called Favorite. The sculpture is not very ideal (like those three Yumiko's orcas for example) but pretty good too.
