| Tomy Ania released a series of animal figures in 2015. All of these had a movable feature. In the case of the Hippopotamus the lower jaw opens and closes. When closed it looks like a big grin and when open it looks like it is laughing. At the moment I only have three Tomy Ania animals and all these were bought from a toy shop whilst on holiday in Anglesey, North Wales. These Hippo images were taken it a rock pool in Rhosneigr close to the place where we stayed. Enjoy

| Surely it is a good idea to make a hippo with a moveable jaw. However, they could have made the mechanism less distracting as Andreas metaphorically suggested. :) I find it quite curious that you've found these Ania in a place that was not easy to Romans achieve.  |

| Thanks! There are currently very few Anias on TAW, it would be great to have some more. |

 Hi Taylor Sorry for the delay in replying. The shop was proper old style toy shop and even through it was small it had everything a kid could wish for even a kid who is over 60! Not sure it is still there. Recently I located some Ania models in Home Bargains for a fraction of the full cost and will post them here shortly. |
