Best flea market in the year

The different flea markets in our town around the year are the best places to find new figures for my collection. That´s always very exited because you never know what you get when you
are at home again.....
This year we had an unusually warm summer with little rain here in Germany. That means, every Saturday some flea markets somewhere in town.
But the very best takes part only for one day in the year! In case it´s raining, this flea market is canceled.
This flea market is very big, more as 2000 sellers take part at Theresienwiese (Oktoberfest).

So I was very happy about nice weather and early in the morning so about 5:00h we could reach the place in about 20 minutes by metro.

But now to the interesting stuff for us collectors......
Figures by Schleich you can find very often.

This is a typical box with different figures. Usually nothing special, but if you have a little bit luck, there is a treasure inside.

After some three hours it´s time to make a break at stairs by Bavaria, where you have a great view over the place.

I use the break to look inside an kind of surprising box with old figures by Erzgebirge. The animals are about 60-70 years old.

After beeing here for about 6 hours, I have seen enough and it´s time to go home again with a lot of nice figures.

Sometimes you can find really treasures or sometimes unknown figurines :)

That is a perfect report of the wonderland of the collectors.
It gives a great overview of that interesting flea market.
It is also nice to see you enjoying that place.
The Lineol section is surely the most interesting for my taste and it is not surprising at all that Schleich takes the most part of it. Surprising is perhaps the huge amount of Schleich figures, quite more than in my best expectations. Will we see what you've got?

It is a great summary with pictures of the flea markets in Germany.

They are many hours observing objects of all times.

I think that the mind forgets everything and lowers the stress of daily life.

Several treasures are now in the house of Yvette.

This kind of plase I saw only once in Vienna, 14 years ago ... and it wasn`t that big.

I wishes we had flea markets like that here in the US but alas they are usually just junk around here anymore. :,( I would have been in heaven seeing tables full of Schleich and the like and would have rooted through every single one of those mixed bins! What a wonderland for collectors indeed!

Good I was not there...that old nativity set, - why did they put cheap plastic figures on top of the models ?

After all your flea market catches that you found in Munich i was hopefully for a catch in Germering. I had the chance for a short time there but i found nothing

If only I could have visited that flea market! Then 65% of my wishlist could have been ticked off

Wow! I have never EVER seen a market like that!

Even when there was a toy specialty annual show in this area, I have never seen tables full of models like you show, of any brand or mix of brands!

Congratulations, wish we all could have been with you! I see at least 2 things in the photos i would have loved to have! And watching Adam fill his lists would have been a joy.
