Taos' Schleich Additions 15/8/2024

Some schleich additions-I don't normally collect fish but found this shark set in a local discount shop-they have increased their toy  section in the run up to Christmas .

Went to the local toy shop and was very surprised to see hidden at the back of the Schleich stand a love newbie the Quokka!!!!

It was a great surprise to find a 2019 model so early in the year as a lot of the new releases don't make an appearance until much later in the year here!!!

In fact I found it for sale at a stationary still in mid december 2018! (and bought it hehe)

I believe the kuokka is the most popular 2019 Schleich figure among us. Congratulations for getting it so early and I will also want one in my collection.

Found this colour variant of the sheep-the one I have previous to this is cream coloured but found this all white one among the cream ones in the shop!Its made in Tunisia so maybe that why its white?

The others were made in China.I think its the older version not the 2019 model.

Yes, many of the new Schleich nodels are hard to distinguish from the ones they replace

Some new additions.The raccoon is very lightly built and pale coloured for a northern raccoon so maybe Schleich have inadvertently made a crab eating raccoon but I think this maybe a flight of fancy by me!!!!

In my opinion it just happened that the sculptor searched for racoon being unaware of the differences between both species. Thus, it resulted a kind of hibryd. We can see it in several figures marketed just generically.
I like the ring-tailed lemur, I am glad they didn't mixed all lemur species in it.

seeing the maki and the racoon, we can suppose they are from the same sculptor and the same painter! they look to be brothers!.. ..but they are good and I bougt them too! :)

That does make it much better! I didn't like him initially either, since he is so different from the cute chubby bandits that frequent my back yard.

Found this in a second hand shop-the old lying down cow which was also used by AAA for their cows!
