More bendies, 3 poodels, 3 spaniels, 3 Zebras etc.

for interested members:

Rubber animals from Schleich as bendies, all about 40-50 years old.
About 50 different animals were known without painting and producing variation.

Enjoy or hate the figures, i love them and did have many of them, collecting from all over the world.

For those who have never seen the first Schleich-figuere, I can recommend the new book "Anywhere`s a playground", where there is a picture of the model Friedrich Schleich made from old scraps, after his factury was bombed to the ground in World War 2

The bendies are truly wonderfull .... a bit weird - but absolutely lovely!!!

As a child I also had A LOT of these - don't know if they were all Schleich, but I loved them!!! So cute and strange )
Unfortunately my father throw them all away

One day - when I have a lot of money - I will start collecting them again, for sure, but right now they a "out of reach" for me...... so I really enjoy your pictures!

First i like them, because they represent the first items from Schleich in toys after the war.
Secondly i have a special place for everything from the 1950's, including almost everything, cars, clothes, music, furniture and so on.
I tried to find some of them on e-bay last weeks, but they are expensive, and go from 15-50 euro's a piece.
And as i have to collect lots of other stuff first, the have a low importance for me so far, but they are nice!

We have shown som scary bendies, but others are ( I hope) not quite so scary .
Now that we are at least five who like them, I can`t resist showing some of my bendies.

3 poodles. The one to the right I have had for some time, - he has lost his dog-sign, but I love him anyway.
These are unusual, as they kan turn the head and move in the hips in addition to having bendable legs. I adore them .

I think these must be Portuguese wterspaniels, what do you say, Roger ?

Three donkeys. A vey old one, a newer one, and a foal, that is not Schleich, but of the well known brand “China”. It fits so perfectly, I think, it must be made to go with the Schleich donkey.

Three little “Kugelmänchen”, The one to the right is the original type where you can exchange the head so he gets a new expression , - the other are made as promotional figures and not so detailed.

Three giraffes. The tall ones are promoting the compagny Hoechst.

Someone had a question on another thread about another bendy that was very expensive to me but I thought very cool...do you remember that one Susanne...it kind of looked like a dragon ~ sort of ... she used it for her avatar for awhile.

Was it Izzy?

It was being offered on ebay.de for over 200 Euros if I remember correctly (but I probably don't)

None of mine are very expensive. There are still so many in the cheap end that I do not have, so no need to go for the expensive ones yet
I think the most expensive one of the ones I showed here is the oldest zebra if it is in a very good state, - mine is only in reaonable state.

They are very popular because they go with the Smurfs, but they were really made as a part of a small series, called Crazy Friends.

Wow - very freaky and very cool! I love the stripey effect on the zebras, though it makes them look somewhat skeletal...

I got the green dragon from Thomas

Tody it was wonderful weather, so I wanted to take a picture out in the sun, - but Mymmi thought it was VERY interesting, she kept knocking the new, green one over
So to save the dragons, I had to stop
