| I want so badly the Papo tapir or the Safari LTD one! Sadly both are retired I admire very much the CollectA's babirusa, but is too big for my collection. _________________ My collection:- (Details):

| It is amazing the species we have to collect these days. Some of the major companies have been quite diversified in their new releases. I think I have all of these except the tapir that mine is Safari's. It is great to see how you use these figures and all your talent to give to us a true Asian athmosphere. |

| Interesting, an Indian Gaur repaint. Your darker colour is more realistic than the original. |

| Caracal, one of the most special feature of your "outside scenen" is that the environment fits so exactly to the animal species. Now I ask myself, how are these pictures created ? Do you have a special picture in mind before you leave the house with the figures ? Are you looking for certain places for certain animal species ? Does coincidence plays a role "to find the right place" or is everything an exact planning?

| well, I live in a very small village surrounded by the "garrigues" (mediterranean woods) and most of my pictures come from my usual footing way where I selected a "jungle" which is a laurisylve on dry stream side, a "savana" in a rocky area with mediterranean grasses (that I cut a little!), a "canopea" in arbousier trees, and an "european (or temperated) wood" in a oaks little wood. When I go back to the village from I am originated, in the "grands causses" I have beautiful landscapes of steppic highlands with deep canyons and a beautiful river (whith real beavers and otters!) which flows along our family camping site. So, almost everywhere I go, I take replicas which seem appropriate and I try them, some fit, others no.. Last sunday, I went to the beach to swim and took some sharks (that you can see in "sea and oceanic life").. I have a little compact camera easy to bring, the most difficult is to avoid people because I am rather well known in my country side but unfortunatly, I was sometimes surprised by neighbours, hunters, trailers, campers of my camping site or ancient pupils! |

| Oh, it all fits together. A beautiful environment, the animal figures, photographing and everything is arranged by a collector and artist. So everything makes a wonderful synthesis, the result we can see in your pictures. - Caracal wrote:

But now I am a littöe bit curious. Is is beacause your hobby or an other reason ? _________________ Yvette

Oh, yes - I know very well what you mean. Apart from that, even though we have a very unusual hobby which some people may wonder about because of ignorance, just stupidity and other reasons - we have a beautiful hobby and I am very happy to have you here on STS to share our enthusiasm about animal figures. _________________ Yvette
